THE UNCHAINED
The unchained are hybrid race created by a group of Necromancers during the war between the creatures of earth and the Demons. It was a group of Necromancers, desperate to find a creature they could use under their control, which was more powerful then any other; they succeeded in their task, taking from both vampires and demons all the desirable traits and leaving none of the weaknesses. They had no need to feed as well no real desire though they did have the means. Holy symbols and weapons were useless against them as were spells and magic. They were immune to the elements and the need for breathing was simply not there.
The Necromancers had a chance however only to create a small handful by the time the gates to hell had been sealed and those creatures, along with all other demonic form of life, were sucked back into the void known as Hell when the gate closed before they could even begin their destructive rage the Necromancers had set them too over the world.
However, the DNA in which the Unchained were created still existed, and though the Necromancers had all but died out who had known about its existence, there did remain a few who decided it was best to hide the DNA strands as best they could until it was time once again to have their puppets rise up and help destroy the world.
Every Necromancer alive knows about the stories of the Unchained but one had the courage to seek out and find the DNA strands and once again begin the process of creating what he thought would be the ultimate puppet for his use in becoming overlord of the world. Unfortunately for him, he was killed after successfully creating one, killed by his own creation. He did not know the means to control it and so, it turned on him and then disappeared.
They are neither good nor evil. They answer to none but themselves and are of their own mind. Perhaps the most powerful creature on the planet, the unchained can have a great array of powers, ranging from the simplest forms of mind control to the total destructive nature of the elements themselves. No one knows for sure as never have they before existed for longer than a few years.
All Necromancers can identify an Unchained upon contact though no other creature would be able to quite pin down what it was they were up against.
The Unchained biggest weakness lies in the discovery of the means to control them there is little else known as to how to kill such creatures, unless of course, one might be fortunate enough to get a lucky strike in with a sword and lob its head off.
There is hidden in the lands of Karador the means to control an Unchained but no one knows where it resides. The Master Necromancer Decimas Aurelious found a way to control a young Unchain during the last war over 100 years ago but no one knows how he did it or even if he had perhaps found the means to control them. Either way the solution is out there... finding it may be another story altogether.
Diala is currently the only Ultimate Unchained and the only Unchained to make it out of the last war. There are rumors of new Unchained being brought into the world but their numbers are few.

The Legacy
Since the dawn of time, humans have had their many weaknesses. Some humans though, were born with random gifts of nature, having certain sences or abilities that were heightened in comparison to most. They would often get together to compete in different domains while they disscussed the future. After some time they decided to attempt to make a better human race, one that could perform better on all aspects, not just a particular random gift.
They made it a point to only marry those with enhanced abilities and senses, not allowing themselves to even think of being with a normal human. Supporting each other through the years and exerting themselves to form new traits, their children more often then not received the gifts as well, no longer being all that random but rather inherited. Even so, they continued the selective breeding so as to see how far it could go, to see if what the original ancestors of this line wanted was possible.
As the generations passed and they continued to only mate with those of their own, the offspring acquired more and more benefits from the arrangements. Though they still resemble the others, they became a form of enhanced humans with the legacy their forefathers made possible for them.
Today, all of them have the same capabilities. Having increased strength, agility and speed while all five of their senses are heightened. This allows them to hear the smallest things such as the vibration in someones voice or a heartbeat from a ways away among other things. Very fine odors can be smelt from a distance while enhanced taste buds give them increased eating pleasure. Their eyes, not only capable of seeing things in detail from far away, can see in the dark with fair accuracy. They see things happen five seconds before they actually do, in a wave like manner, almost like living a dream, providing them with the ability to live things twice or avoid them if at all capable. Their presence can not be felt as their bodies do not give off signals or energy.
In the ancient tongue they were known as îåÉøÆùÑÆú, îåÉøÈùÑÈä; ðÇçÂìÈä, and later when the fluent language changed, they became the Legacy.

Infernomancer
Thousands of years ago, before the Great War and before even the Necromancers, there was a cabal of fallen men and women that accepted depravity and chaos into themselves. They began doing demon’s work on earth, working for their hellish lords, giving them eyes into the land. These individuals were the first Infernomancers, wielders of demonic magics and the hidden enemy of the then ruling kingdom.
These Infernomancers began to recruit, taking more and more members into the cult-like society. Eventually their numbers, hidden within the masses, were large enough to wage an actual war against all but themselves. This rebellion was, ultimately, destroyed by insquabbaling and lack of training on the Infernomancer’s part. The demon followers who were intelligent enough to keep their alliances secret while the war, who were not slaughtered and executed, began to plan for another war.
This was when a new leader took hold, Achillus the Wise. He opened a hidden school and center for the remaining Infernomancers, building on previous knowledge and passing it on to the ranks of the cabal. Here, in this school, the general Infernomancer populous no longer became mere blade swinging zealots but seasoned magic users, channeling scorching flames and blinding shadows, causing their power to increase. Years after the first war the Infernomancers were recruiting again, hidden in back alleys and smoky bars, bringing the best of the best into the fold.
This eventually brought Nekros Thak to a chief position in the school. He convinced Achillus to open a new area of study within the school, aside from the arcane, hellish magics usually practiced: the art of manipulating life. Nekros was appointed leader of this new sect and offered the practice to any Infernomancer who would take it, few did, many calling it foolish to forsake fire and shadow for gloom and rot. The small percent that did join Nekros in his studies eventually became known as Nekrolytes, the Necromancers. Months passed and the two areas of study began to separate, causing Necromancy to become a sect, rather than an attachment to Inferomancy.
After years of waiting the Infernomancer chose to strike once more, lashing out when nobody thought they existed anymore. A power-hungry mage opened a portal to hell, the Inferomancer cultists rejoiced; with the first rift between dimensions opened it became easy to open others. Infernomancers tore at the fabric of reality, opening hellish portals and joined the demons they followed on to the battlefield, burning the very earth itself. However, both sides were evenly matched, pushing back and forth. The war ended, as was documented, when the Lord Karador bound the Demon Lord. Little do many know that this was only possible due to a singular mistake. The masses of Infernomancers, waves upon waves of them, were smashing into the castle, the forces of good pushing back but tiring. Upon the final push Achillus ordered all troops, every man and woman to rush the castle, to crush it with their powers. All the Infernomancers did as ordered, charging forward, and they would have pushed through the final barrier… had Nekros, confident that his troops were not needed in this final push, ordered his Necromancers to retreat back to the school, where, ultimately the Unchained were made. The Necromancers did as they were commanded and pulled out, including the hordes of undead that accompanied the Infernomancers, leading to almost a third of the hellish troops falling back. The last resistance held and the binding was completed.
The aftermath was gruesome; Infernomancers were weeded out and slaughtered, as were Necromancers. Achillus and Nekros both survived the culling, Nekros only living until Achillus found him and cut him down. Both groups of the cult were finally destroyed, or at least as close as it was possible. Achillus was thought to become a hermit, forsaking his power to live alone, alone yet alive, until he died.
Infernomancers are now very rare, few with knowledge to train new initiates. Those who do find members of society that are worthy to join the cabal, teaching them their ways. This chaotic form of selection causes the Infernomancers that exist to vary heavily in teachings and motives, though they all are bound under the Infernal Flag, a skeletal, black hand scrawled on to a piece of red linen The old school has been restored and the Black Council governs it, training fledgling members.
The basic Infernomancer lives a normal life by day but by night they change. They don leather and metal, the reds and oranges, the golds and blacks of their order, and walk into the night to further the council’s dream of power. Their power over the shadows and fire, to form both into an offensive and defensive force, is apparent in combat, the combination of both searing flesh and spirit.
The Inferomancer cult gains its power by binding power with a highly powered demon. This process varies from individual to individual and the pact is often a private thing to them. The contract always involves a tradeoff, power for something else. This could mean eternal damnation, loss of limbs, or merely the demon gaining a window to which to watch the world through. The more damaging the pact is to the Infernomancer the more power they gain.
Each Infernomancer believes something different, each member of the cult joining for their own reasons. Some use the power for greed and sadism while others use it for good and justice, though the latter is very rare. Many Infernomancers merely wish to push their group into acceptance and wish to stop hiding behind the mask they put on each morning and take off each night.

Demons
Demons are creatures that normally take on human form when on the surface of the planet. They are very powerful and wield that power in many different forms, be it using the elements for attack, or great swords of flame or shadow, the limits are unimaginable.
There is no killing of a demon, they only way to get rid of one is to hurt it bad enough to send it back to where it came. Lobbing it's head off will do that. Otherwise, they can not be permanently killed and will likely exact its revenge on you upon its return. (If a demon is sent back in r/p then that character can not post on the board for three days, but in r/p time that passes will have been at least 3 years.)
The Kill zone for the demons is in The Pit.

Dryad A Dryad is always female and never male. There simply is no male Dryads. They are a forest nymph of sorts, though really much more than that. Dryads are protectors of their forest. They will protect it with everything they have and they are good at what they do. Not even the greatest Elf Hunter dare to challenge a Dryad in her own forest. They don't like fire and if they don't feel so inclined to tell you to put it out if you are in their forest, you will just find an arrow in your chest, or a tree limb thrust through your torso, depending on the Dryads mood at the time.
As stated, Dryads are female only and so, in order to keep their numbers alive, they usually trick human males into their midst for procreation. Some find this a pleasant experience, but not all.
Dryads can be killed easily enough by destroying the tree they were born from, but of course, finding said trees is not as easy as it may seem. The Dryads control their forest, the plant life and trees in particular often aid in their desires, whatever they be be. They are as stated also, the greatest hunters in any realm. They can also be killed by any weapon if you get a good shot in with an arrow or are lucky enough to have gone unnoticed and get a good sword swing in.
You will Seldom find a Dryad outside her forest, as she seeks to protect it and how can she protect it if she is not there.
Every Dryad is beautiful they have to be in order to seduce a man. They can meld into their trees and out again when they feel. Their powers of seduction rival that of any demon or vampire and they almost always get what they want. They are also very fond of sweets.
In any Dryad forest there will be literally hundreds of Dryads around. Just keep a pocket full of sweet treats and don't light fire and you will usually make a few good friends. Oh and it is usually considered polite to ask them for permission to hunt in their territory.

The Fallen
The Fallen are the warriors of the gods who created humans and helped create the rest of the worlds. They have chosen to return to earth to help protect human kind from the demons beginning to roam the earth once more. They do this knowing they have lost their divine powers as the Gods can not interfere in the worlds any longer.
Though they may not have their divine powers they do still wield great power. They are the equals to the Demons and though they have come to protect the human race from the demon threat, they also do not always have a love of humans either.
The Fallen are seldom happy creatures though of course they can have fun from time to time. Mostly though they are very darkened souls because they know what their future holds should they ever die. There is no chance of redemption no matter what they do they will be condemned to spend eternity in the realm of Chaos.
The Fallen look just like any other human on any other planet. They do have great black wings that can only be seen by magical creatures. They often have weapons that they carry at their sides even though their control of magic is surpassed by none and only equaled by the demonic beasts.
There is only one creature in all the lands that can take a Fallen or a Demon and that is the Unchained, but that would only be a very powerful one.
