Faust sipped his drink. He found himself silently enjoying how her eyes sparkled. She had such unique eyes, he liked them. Her question bumped him back down to earth quickly, out the wanderings of his mind. It took him a few moments to remember what she had said.
“So how long you been living here?”
"Well...." He said, thinking for a few seconds, trying to get a approximate length of time. "About five years..." He answered. "After I finished school." He nodded, confirming it. "I bought it cheap, the elderly people who lived here beforehand..." He paused and looked at Cella. "No, they didn't die, they moved to their son's Cella picked the cup up again, now that he was in the large estate." He laughed gently, most people always had the most morbid thoughts, he usually liked to play upon that. He didn't know if Cella was one of those people, but it was habit for him to make a slight assumption.

“Oh, no, I wasn’t gonna ask that.” She told him. “I knew they hadn’t died, or at least, not in here.” She told him in such confidence that there was no questioning that she did really know. “You know, I am surprised out paths had never crossed, of course, there were several times I had tried to make it over to your practice but just never had, for one reason or another, just to say hi and meet the man on the other end.” She told him then, with that same simple smile on her lips she had used so many times.
Cella sat her cup down and took of a fork and took a bite of one of the cakes and smiled. “Mmm, you got to try this.” She smiled, putting her fork back to the cake and then bringing it up to his mouth where she grinned. “Open up.” She said and smiled largely, her eyes once again sparkling as a few locks of fiery hair fell over her right side of her face.

Faust shut his eyes and opened his mouth, awaiting the peice of cake that was to come. He closed his mouth around the fork and felt the tongs pass by his lips. "Mmmm..." He said, savoring the cake. "Tastes very good." He swallowed and took another sip of coffee, his lips upturned gently.
"Yes, I know what you mean." He said to her a few seconds later. "I was meaning to go to the hospital, to check it out, but things just kept getting in the way. I'm sure you know how hectic it can get being in charge." The doctor smiled.
He looked at her again, his mind wandering once more. He admired her eyes again, this time speaking his mind. "You've got very nice eyes." He said. "I've never seen such a unique color..." He grinned. He sipped his coffee again and looked back to her and chuckled. "And your hair seems to enjoy falling into your face."

Cella picked her cup back up again and brought it to her lips, taking a small sip from the still steaming liquid and then smiled.
“Yes, I truly do understand, but then, you know that I do already.” She replied with a slight shrug to her shoulders before she noticed him looking into her gaze and once again she blinked slowly, her lavender eyes watching him as he looked at her.
“Thanks…” She responded automatically to his comment and then raised the cup to her lips again as she continued to gaze at him, taking yet another small sip of the coffee within. “…ya, I don’t know how they are the color they are, they just simply are.” She responded to his color mention and then laughed as she tucked the strand of unruly hair behind her ear. “Ya, it seems to have a mind of its own.” She told him and then once more settled her cup on the table in front of them, taking up the cake and her fork for another taste of the treat given to Faust by the older woman in the shop. After she took another bite she looked over at Faust again, her eyes wondering his person slowly, a soft smile adorning her lips again. “You know, you seem to have a way with people...” She stated. “I mean, that lady in the shop, she loves you…” She said, seeming out of the blue.
In truth, Cella wasn’t just talking about the way the lady acted around him, but everyone she noticed, and herself, how strongly she felt compelled to simply be around him.

Faust watched her take her fork and bring it down to the cake, then bringing it up to her mouth. He figured he should probably do the same, it was, indeed, good cake. He picked up his fork and used to break off a piece of cake, stabbing it with his fork. He grinned at Cella before putting the fork tongs in his mouth, chewed and swallowed. The doctor felt a crumb on his lips so his licked them quickly to get rid of it. He took a sip of coffee to wash down the bite of cake and smiled again.
You know, you seem to have a way with people... I mean, that lady in the shop, she loves you…”
Faust nodded, drinking some more hot coffee. "She was very grateful, without me she wouldn't have her son." He looked at her softly. He looked down at his hands and paused for a few moments. "Yes, I suppose I do have that kind of effect on people"
He looked at Cella and smiled, his green eyes bright like jade orbs. "Its nice to have somebody here to talk to, I haven't had anyone here in....." He paused as he cast around for a word to describe the length of time he had gone without a visitor. "forever." He said finally. "I enjoy your company Cella." He said, looking into his cup.

Cella peered in to his emerald gaze, her own lavender orbs absolutely sparkling by this time as she sipped further on her coffee and finished off her slice of cake. She was so, ‘at home’ here and sitting with Faust just simply chatting seemed to being her up and away from the visions and thoughts of the past weeks horrifying trials, his voice she found soothing and as well, she genuinely found herself liking this man who appeared to save the day, so to speak, at the hospital.
“Well, I think, I would not make plans for your place to be so lonely any longer, as I quite enjoy your company Faust, your patients aren’t the only ones who seem to find you pleasant to be around ya know.” She stated what was on her mind, or at least something of what was. “That is, of course, if you don’t mind a visit here and there from a simple nurse.” She finished with that soft smile still residing over her soft lips, as once again, that unruly piece of hair slipped from behind her ear to slide over her face again.

“That is, of course, if you don’t mind a visit here and there from a simple nurse.”
"Come now." He told her. "You are not a simple nurse, you are... much more, that is for sure." He nodded resolutely. "And I would love to spend more time with you, outside the hustle and bustle of the hospital, of course." He chuckled lightly. "I'm sure we'll both be so incredably busy that we'd barely have time to talk to anyone." Faust rolled his eyes and took another sip of coffee.
He noticed that, once again, that some of Cella's hair had fallen over her face again. He laughed gently and for a brief moment reached out to brush it away. He realized how stupid it was to brush hair outta their eyes if they are perfectly able to do it themselfs, so he turned the movement into a gesture at the piece of hair. "My goodness," He said, humorously. "Again, that has to be the third time since you got here."

Cella sat her now emptied coffee mug back on the tray and then looked back up at im, she didn’t bother removing the strand of unruly hair this time, and it moved forward as she had, then settled back into place at the side of her right cheek, bordering her face lightly. “Ya, well, sometimes, there just isn’t anything one can do about ones hair, short of chopping it all off.” She joked and even laughed slightly at his hair comment, though her eyes didn’t laugh along with her that time, as her mind watched his longing to remove the lock from her face, she wondered what had stopped him, though figured it was out of manners, more so than any other reason, she would not have minded at all.
Now, sitting in a slight silence as they were she turned and looked out the window across from where they sat, her gaze not seeing what lay beyond the pane, no, it was far too dark outside by now to see, but even if it weren’t, she wasn’t truly looking there, her mind was settled on his acceptance of her coming over to keep him company more often and how much she honestly looked forward to it. “Indeed, yes, I can see that we will be very busy.. Without much time for conversation outside the hospital, but what little time we do have, I would be most happy to come and visit with you…” She paused, now turning her head back towards him again, her lavender gaze falling in sink to catch and hold his emerald one, his presence as from the first moments of their meeting, drawing her to him. “Course, next time, I will have to play host and you can come over to see my slightly less comfortable abode.” She finished, her lips turning up to smile again.

Faust put down his empty mug on the table and sighed contently. He had been a good night, he got some shopping done, had coffee with Cella and finished his fist day at the hospital. The day was a complete success and he liked his new job, even if it was stressful and hard. He had a feeling the new job was going to bring many changes, ones he hoped would be for the better.
“Course, next time, I will have to play host and you can come over to see my slightly less comfortable abode.”
The young doctor laughed. "Cella, I'm sure your house is very comfortable, I'd love to visit sometime." He chuckled and picked up the tray, as both of them were finished with the coffee. He brought it the kitchen and set it down on the counter. He looked up and out the window, into two glowing orbs. His heart jumped, but quickly the panic turned to amusement as he realized it was the stray cat that frequented his house. Faust turned and began to walk back to the living room.
The moment he stepped foot into the room the old clock next to the fireplace rang. He examined the clock, it was late. He looked at Cella and sighed. "Its quite late..." He said quietly. "I doubt it would be safe to walk around outside at this hour." He took a moment to think. "If you wished you could stay here the night." He told her. "But.... I don't have a spare room...." Faust frowned slightly. "If you want to stay I've got everything set up." He pointed to a stack of blankets in the corner of the room. "Sometimes I find it more comfortable to sleep in front of the fire." He explained.

Once again, the moment he got up and left her presence, Cella came around to herself again and she gazed out the window to notice the night sky was just that, a night sky and she sighed. Walking home would be at best, unpleasant, as she’d have to not only avoid being detected by the soldiers after curfew, but as well, keep an eye out for the things that ‘go bump in the night’ as there seemed to be at least one out there that drew her in and was for some reason, on her mind near constantly. When Faust came back in the room however, her lavender gaze rounded to look up at him and she smiled. “Yes, I guess in all, you are right, maybe I should stay, though really, if it is a problem, I can go, I wouldn’t want to intrude, I mean, well… thanks.” She said, finally accepting that he was indeed right and she should stay.
She stood then and waked over to the stack of blankets he had pointed out and started to bring them over in front of the fire. If she was going to intrude upon his hospitality overnight, she was not about to make him do all the work of making her comfortable. “Yes a night in front of the fire seems quite nice any way.” She said lightly a she began to set up a nice spot for sleep. “We should make it to work in the morning rather early though, don’t let me sleep in.” She joked as she put the finishing touches on her makeshift sleeping area. “The Doctor might get upset with me if I turn up late.” She finished, turning around to gaze up at him as she reached up and took her hair out of the constraints of the hair tie allowing her full locks to now fall over her shoulders. That renegade lock she had left in place now drowned out by the rest of her fiery strands.
