The closet door creaked open slowly and a head peered through the open gap it left behind. Satisfied the room let little light though, though not night yet, he stretched and then stood and walked out of his chosen resting places of that day. He patted his small pocket and smiled, a wicked little smile and then turned to his sack on the bed and began to rummage through it.
“No, no that's not it...” He said as he took a medium sized canning jar form his sack and placed it on the night table. “Nope..” He took a larger jar, this one filled with some sort of jell like substance, and sat it next to the first. “Oh, here we are.” He then smiled as he pulled a small plastic contain out form the sack. The container was about 4 inches tall and about as round as a quarter, it had a white surface on it that seemed to have some writing upon it. He popped open the top and then reached inside his jacket pocket and pulled his prize from the previous night out.
In his hand lay a set of 5 fingernails, all beautifully cut from their previous owner. He ran one index finger down the longest one and then cupped his hand and slid them into the open container. After gently shutting the lid, he patted himself down as if looking for something.
“Oh, I see you there..” He smiled as he reached over and grasped a writing pen from the desk.
Jade – whore First Night in Meerin
He scribed on the bottle and then placed it on the end-table so the ink could dry.
He still had about half an hour before the sun would set so he moved himself to the washroom and cleaned up, changed clothes then called for the maid. It didn't take one long to arrive and when she did, he handed her his dirty clothing and told her to just leave it at the front desk when it was done, he'd pick it up there.
The after placing a do not disturb sign on his door handle, he left and walked down to the Inns Tavern and sat at the bar and began to order a drink.

It had only been a day since Abriex entered Meerin. It was so different than the village she was raised in. The people here weren't bound by a brotherhood like her pack. But she was the one who wanted, no, needed something new. She was too dominant a female to live in a group with another Alpha female. Meerin seemed nice enough a place to stay for at least a while until she was ready to start a new pack.
Abriex stayed at the Inn, it was cheap enough, and it had a tavern attached. An added bonus for a girl who drinks all night. Now if she could get a pint of ale and some food, meat preferably, she would be one happy girl. The red haired girl pushed herself off of her bed with a light grunt. She walked to the door and checked her pockets to make sure she had all that she needed. "Mhmm." She nodded and exited.
The Tavern wasn't anything anything fancy, perfect. large green orbs scanned their surroundings and found a stool at the bar with ease. She took a seat and ordered a pint of ale and a steak. "Please, man, make it R-A-R-E." And with that she laid down her coins and pushed them one by one toward the man.
Glancing to her left, she saw a man. Ever since she got here she had wondered who was what. This was a town with a large variety of creatures unlike hers that was solely restricted to the Lycans of her kind. Out of habit, Abriex discreetly sniffed the air about her, leaning slightly to her left to get a good smell of the man. He was like nothing she ever smelled. Certainly not a Lycan, not human either. His scent was cut off after her meal was brought to her.
"Perfect!" She exclaimed as she picked up the steak whole and tore a bite out of it. Barely cooked at all, the way she liked her meat. She was part animal after all and just because she was in her human form didnt mean her appetite was any different. She devoured that piece of meat quickly, she hadnt eaten well since she left her home. Finally she took a healthy gulp of her ale and she sighed with content.

Music began to play in the background. At some point a guitarist had set up a stool and started to play, very well, a tune for the dinner patrons in the bar. Moloch started tapping his foot lightly to the fast paced tune and smiled just before he brought his drink to his lips and took a large draw from its contents before settling it back to the bar in front of him.
“Here” he said and slid quite a few more coins across the bar. “Make sure he gets half that and bring me another ale while you're at it..Just keep em' coming.” He commanded of the bartender who nodded and then retreated to the back for a moment before re-entering with a plate that he set in front of a cute red-head.
Moloch noticed the girl turn his way so he raised his tankard of ale to her and then drank from it one more time.
“Good stuff?” He asked, nodding toward her plate.
He knew this female wasn't human so he wouldn't even bother trying to seduce her in any way into coming up for a 'bite'. But that wasn't all he was after. He enjoyed a good conversation with other creature that weren't on the 'menu'.

Abriex closed her eyes for a moment as she listened to the music. Now this was something that reminded her of home. For a moment she felt as if never left. Good food, drink and music. All she was missing was a companion to talk with. Just then her prayers were answered.
Taking a napkin to her blood smeared lips she nodded at the man next to her. "It did the trick." she smiled, raising her tankard of ale and taking a gulp. She let out an exasperated sigh of approval. She turned on her stool so that she faced the man. She shamelessly eyed him up and down while taking another pull at her ale.
Dark hair and hazel eyes. Very pretty eyes. He was lean and athletic looking. She nodded to herself slightly.
"You from around here? I just got in last night. Im Abriex." She offered up her company for the time being. Being a woman and new in the town, she longed for any kind of conversation. It wouldnt hurt to get to know someone here.

Moloch twisted his stool slightly so as to better talk to the young woman and smiled the who while she chatted with him. He so loved a good conversation and though this one had not progressed to the point of being a good conversation as of yet, he expected it would become as such.
“Well, so long as it does the job for you then I would think that is that and good enough, this time.” He responded. “Of course, as I am told, the Phantom down the street has a great array of cuisine that this place can't hold a candle to.” He told her with the same smile in his voice that had been simply on his lips a moment before.
Now, he couldn't have known they had better food at the Phantom, personally, but his blood memory from the whore last night had left him in the know about these things. At least, he thought it must have been her, as he'd not been to this city in over 500 years or so, so that was what he was relying on.
“No, I'm not actually from Meerin, I came here last night from the Capitol city of Karador Keep.” He told her honestly. “But I spent far too long up there on my high horse and so decided it was time to take leave for a bit elsewhere and my feet carried me to the front gate of this fine city.” He entreated her with the information she had asked for.
After taking a long draw from his tankard and draining it, he settled it back down on the bar, now to his left, and plucked the second one that the barkeep had already planted there and took a small sip from its contents.
“My name is Moloch.” he then stated with a slight bow from his seated position. “It is a pleasure, Abriex.” He then introduced himself.
“If it doesn't sound too rude, where might I ask do you hail from?”

Brix nodded and pondered to herself, "The phantom, eh?" To be honest, she usually ate when she hunted, so the quality of the food didnt always matter to her. In fact she enjoyed the hunt more than the meal itself. Not that a Bear had to fight much for a meal, but a fight was a fight and a fight was what she was good at.
“No, I'm not actually from Meerin, I came here last night from the Capitol city of Karador Keep. But I spent far too long up there on my high horse and so decided it was time to take leave for a bit elsewhere and my feet carried me to the front gate of this fine city.”
A soft exhale escaped her bare lips, "Ah hah. Ive heard of Karador Keep. Ive never been." She actually had never traveled to other towns in general. "Im from a smaller village in the mountains." She waved her arm in an offhand manner. "To be honest, Im out here just scounting about a bit." By scouting she meant starting her own pack.
She took a long draw from her tankard and soon the bitter liquid was drained entirely. With an audible clank, she tapped the empty container in demand for another. She looked at her new friend and adjusted herself on the stool. "Care to go for a walk after this, Moloch?" She said as she held up her newly filled tankard of ale.

Moloch knew that not many humans lived in the mountains, at least not the Mountains that lie between the north and south. Certainly there were some other mountain ranges but none of them were any where near Meerin and so if his assumption was correct, he was right about her humanity. That of course made not a lick a difference to him, chatter was chatter, and who was he to deny the chatter of a pretty young female of any race.
Moloch lifted his new tankard to her and nodded his head in agreement and then took a long draw from it.
“Sounds good to me, I've been wanting to explore the city so why not do it with a pretty girl by my side, I would be honored.” he replied with another of his warm smiles.
He thought perhaps he'd even refrain from feeding for a night just to take that exploratory walk. Perhaps they’d find some sort of adventure on their walk-about. Maybe some silly human thugs would try to attack them and then they'd have some fun, or at least he knew he would. Though he had to check himself and remind himself that she, even if she wasn't human, may not like the thought of spending time with a vampire so even then he'd have to hold himself back a lot to say the least.

He was a sly one, wasnt he? He was warm, inviting and full of compliments. She could get used to company like that. She nodded at him in approval. Surely there would be no harm in taking a stroll with this man. She was strong enough and smart enough to hold her own. A perk to being what she was.
Abriex drained her tankard quickly and set the container down. She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and smiled girlishly at Moloch then stood up and dropped a couple more coins upon the bar.
"Shall we?" Abriex twirled playfully as she began to walk toward the exiting door.

Following suit, Moloch lifted the tankard of ale to his pale lips and then opened up and swallowed the remainder in one gulp. He slid two more coins across the bar and then stepped off his stool and with a twirl, his coat tails flying out behind him, he stepped forward just as said tails righted themselves behind.
It took him two quick steps to get to her side and then but a third to step in front where he pushed the door open with a fancy flourish of his hand and then allowed himself to lean outward until it was fully open, his feet staying planted in the doorway while his body tilted to the right.
“After you.” he smiled, standing sideways in the door-frame.
Moloch, as twisted as he was, was not always evilly so. He had a very playful side to his many sides and it would seem that tonight that side would come out, for at least a bit of a while before someone else in his head decided to take over.
