“Tsk, tsk, tsk.” Her fiery gaze looked down upon the woman sitting in the chair in front of her. “I wouldn't try that again if I were you.” Her voice purred in a silken manner as if daring the other creature to try and harm her again. “You kind had often brought me great pleasure in torture and I wouldn't use you as an exception to that rule in any way, Chara.” She continued in that same silken tone.
The Orcs' greenish skin stretched over her muscles as she gripped the arms of the chair she was sitting upon about as tightly as she could to keep herself from jumping up and attacking the foul demon again. Her lips were drawn back in a snarl and her onyx orbs glared proudly back at the Demon standing before her. She wouldn't beg for her life, she wouldn't grovel like some worm at the end of a fishers hook and she certainly wouldn't give that Demon the satisfaction of scream.
Selene started to laugh. It was definitely not a mirth filled sound, no. This was a hollow sound. A dark and bone chilling sound that could only be described as a laugh as tat was what it was meant to be.
“You've got so much pride.” Selene started again. “So much Honor and oh so much Pride. I can taste it.” She stated as she began to circle the Orc woman. Her feet moved without sound as she walked, cat-like, around the chair. They came to a halt just as she once more stood in front of the Orc.
“You will be a very nice prize for my Lord.” She then said simply as she raised her hand and placed it on the others forehead.
The pain of her soul being ripped from her being turned out, as it always did, to be far too much for the Orc woman and she did, in the end, scream despite her conviction.
Selene sighed as she looked about the floor of the room. “What a mess.” She rolled her eyes and sighed again a the carnage that lay beneath her feet.
The Orcs had come into the Pit thinking to rid the world of the Demon populace and Selene made quick work of their attack, she never was one to toy around before noon. These creatures now laying in disarray about the floor were proof of that. It wasn't as though she'd ask them to come to her home and make this mess. They did that on their own accord knowing full well the dangers. Orcs, however, were indeed a very prideful race.
Selene straightened her dress and then with a wave of her hand, disintegrated the mess about her feet as she walked out of the room and headed for the surface to continue the trip to the city as she had originally planned before being so rudely disrupted.
Cheating a little bit, she arrived at the gate to Meerin in a few moments; appearing just inside the tree line. She stepped out onto the dirt path that Hunters used to enter the forest and walked forward until her feet found themselves stopped just outside as she waited in the long line of peddlers and other guests that were entering the city at this early hour.

The sun shown blindingly in the sky with not a cloud in sight. The light breeze that passed through the tall fields of grass was the only thing keeping the heat from becoming unbearable. Despite the heat though, everything pointed to the fact that so far, today was a good day.
Sandald feet hit the dirt path leading to Meerin in a semi hurried state. The lean looking blond girl had no had on and did not intend to char her perfect hair. Wearing the finest dark blue silk pants and top, she neared the gate to the city when she looked down at her hands to see that her skin colored makeup was not exactly covering all the blue so she pulled some out of her shirt to touch it up before getting too close. At least this make-up did not run or smear. She knew nothing would take it off so easily and was wondering how she could have missed a spot.
Slowing her pace she came to a halt in the line up that seemed unusually long for this city, or at least, it would have been unusual 300 years ago when she last came to this city of Karador. Looking ahead to see all the men and women and children that were waiting, Mikïa took note of the red headed woman right in front of her and figured to start up a conversation seeing as the wait might be a while.
"Hello there." she smiled at the woman ahead of her. "Been waiting to get in for long?"

Standing there in the heat of the sun was quite comfortable and the fact that it would be so hot before noon made the outlook for the day very pleasant indeed.
The somewhat plain tan dress she wore was suiting enough, it gave her the look that she wasn't loaded but might be here to spend enough coin that the city would make a profit off her but not so rich that she should have been in a carriage or surrounded by assorted guards or the like. The neckline was almost prudish but not quite and the hemline came down to just above the ground to show that she wore a nice pair of walking shoes.
Selene turned her head to gaze at the woman behind her and returned the woman’s friendly smile with one of her own.
“Oh, not long really just about 5 minutes and we've moved forward a bit.” She explained in a friendly tone. “From what I gather, but you know how these things get scattered and distorted, there was some guy trying to smuggle some criminal into the city.” She laughed slightly. “the criminal was supposed to be some sort of demonic abomination or something, though in truth, I would assume a demon wouldn't be that stupid, and it's likely that if there was even such a criminal, he'd probably just been ugly or something.” She laughed again at the thought. “Amazing how these things get pulled apart the more they get told.” She shrugged.
The line moved forward again and she took a step with the crowd and patiently waited. This was all a great feet for the Demon as she wasn't really known for patience. As a matter of fact she'd utterly destroyed other demons for making her wait on them in the past. When she was human, she quite often sent others to the gallows for taking up too much of her time with what she considered petty problems. She has learned a lot of self control since then of course, but that didn't make it any easier for her to stand here and pretend to be perfectly fine with what was going on. She would however behave herself as much as she could in the human city.

Mikïa listened to every word that came from this red head before her and nodded in agreement, "The demons I know would never have the patience for waiting in a line up like this." She shook her head with raised brows and pierced lips while sighing. "They would do anything to find another way in. Either through the shadows or twisting minds or making another way in somewhere along the wall or anything else that would be along their character."
She lowered her head in thought while frowning and looking from side to side seeing as she would have went on but realized she was probably showing up as too knowledgeable about demons especially with saying the ones she knows in a tone that it was friendship and not from books or stories. If she was going to have any fun at all in her disguise she had better play the part of a human.
"I'm sorry if I seem too friendly with them, I've heard a great deal about them and I do admire their strengths." She continued while smiling. "They are full of perseverance you see. Doing the same job for hundreds or thousands of years with no complaints. They actually take a liking to what they do, or so I hear." She nodded. "I'm glad that some humans have those same attributes but more should learn it. Society would be much better if everyone delighted in what they did don't you think?" She asked her question with a wide grin.

The hot sun beat down on Abriex's back as she stood in line. She was impatient and hungry. Her feet ached, as she had traveled so far now. She could keep walking. No. That wasnt an option, she'd heard good things about Meerin. In fact she heard of other creatures who dwell here and visited here. It was what she needed to finally tear herself away from her comfortable, safe home.
She notice a pair of women behind her. Certainly chatty, she noticed. One; a fellow redhead like herself and another, blonde. They spoke so casually of Demons. Demons entering the town of Meerin? Like she was one to talk. She was Lycan... A bear. She herself still couldnt control herself on a full moon. But she wasnt evil, she usually didnt mean any harm. Not like Demons, so she heard anyhow.
Abriex felt a low rumble in her chest as she grew irritated with this line. She turned to the women behind her, "Excuse me ladies." She regained her patience, "Does Meerin always have a line like this? Or is it just my lucky day?" the sarcasm heavy in that sentence.

Selene listened carefully to what the blonde woman had to say about her kind. She didn't seem to be putting them down so much as she was indeed almost defending them, in a sort of 'trying to hide the fact' manner. It certainly made for a quick topic of conversation to take her mind off of this annoying line. If anything, she seemed obsessed with Demons.
“Oh, not to worry, I wouldn't presume you to have had any relations with a Demon, you do seem educated on them though, I've read about them myself, and find them as you do.” She replied shortly, not wanting to get to far into the topic.
Just then the red-head of whoms hair she'd been admiring the back of for the last fifteen minutes or so turned around and started talking to them. The girl had a quiet enough and friendly voice. Selene actually enjoyed. She was a demon that was for certain but did mean she always liked to converse with the grating noises of the underworld. No, a pleasant voice was one of the things she indeed missed about the human race in general. One of the reasons she'd so welcomed the rift back here and just another reason for her to remain patient in situations like these.
“No, its your lucky day as it is ours.” She replied with a sigh. “Seems they've had some problems up front that needed taken care of before they allow the rest of us to enter.” She then added with a small hint of annoyance in her otherwise friendly tone.
At least she wasn't alone in her growing impatience, that was evident. She'd just have to keep herself in check though. Sometimes more difficult than easy.

Mikïa was not used to wearing disguises and did not make a habit of pretending that she was anything other than what or who she was so this whole thing was complicated but she did not mind that even if she was sinking herself knee deep in stuff she could not take back.
She was happy that the red head shared her thoughts but at the same time, she did not know of many humans that thought like that in the first place. So for her to accidentally meet one in the line up would be a rather large fluke but she would accept it until things said otherwise.
Her thoughts were interrupted by another girl in the line-up asking them both a question. Odd tendency that is to ask questions to those that are already talking instead of someone else that's right next to them that is not. However, one is often most likely to get the better and friendlier replies from those that are already talking as it's in their nature to enjoy carrying on conversations.
Noting the sarcasm in both of the womens voices Mikïa could not understand and had to ask, "Why such sarcasm on a beautiful day? I personally could not of asked for a better day and am enjoying quite well. I do not see the bore in this." cocking her head to the side and smiling she finished, "Then again, nothing bores me as there's always fun to be had in anything."
