Name: Seebo MalCali
Age: 292
Race/Type: Human/Sorcerer/King of thieves
Likes: Wealth and women are publicly foremost, with liquor and chicanery not far behind. He truly adores a mystery and making an impression. Seebo is a true fan of virtue and all things done right. He may have questionable morals legally, but his ethics personally are more solid than most.
Dislikes: Liars, deceit, and boring stiffs.
Demeanour: Calm and collected with a friendly joviality. unless another has willingly or determinedly disrupted what is right, or threatened in any way the well being of the weak and needy, or any he may call his own.
Appearance: Seebo stand about six feet tall and has a lean, muscular build. His hair is dark and mid length, parting either way to the sides. He has sharp and objectively good looking features, though he often hides them behind his cloak. The king of thieves typically wears a dark brown coat with a long hood, brown gloves on his hands, and brown boots on his feet. He tends to look well met for a fight, but keeps his greatest threat unseen.
Powers/Skills: Seebo is unimaginably sly, aided largely by sorcery but also by nature. He moves unseen in shadow or on the edges of where others see by unaided human skill, let alone when he means to be sure and uses his magical strength. He can control the shadows, perception of others, and objects with his very mind. He can gleam knowledge, impose a memory, or become ethereal at his very will.
Weapons/Armour: Seebo wears typically tight shirt with looser fitting cargo pants with a lot of pockets. Over it all he wears a long brown cloak that reaches to the ground, with a hood that covers most of his face. He wears no armour, but carries several weapons, between a knife on either leg, at the back of his belt, on his left chest, and at his left side. He carries a short sword, wakazashi in style on his right hip to draw in his left hand, and a longer katana strapped to his back under the cloak, hilt pointed down that he has well beyond mastered with either hand but prefers the right. The sword is of great power, unknown, but respected by the likes of any champion of good or evil in the last three hundred years. Chaos herself refused to disclose the truth of the blade.
History; Seebo took to the streets young as an orphan long ago, and running in gangs in the alleys of Karador he did battles with the more malicious thieves guild at the time to eventually overthrow their leader and take the kingdom for himself. Seebo ruled his guild with a familial love and his enemies with an iron fist, inspiring all subjects to a moral lawlessness and all foes to a fearful complacency.
Seebo had always experienced an insatiable thirst for knowledge, which led him not only to his uncanny perception, his massive network of informants, but in the process led to his private studies of the arcane.
He took the guild at a young age and ruled for the better part of two centuries before the war, staying mostly out of calamity in the midst of all that went on. Though the greater struggles of the kingdom never saw his hand, Seebo fought behind the scenes with choices laid by the Chaos being. He was forced to do wrong or see greater wrong done, and chose to leave the family he chose to lead in thieves, slaying innocent men in face of their children all in the name of the greater good.
Seebo left the kingdom to keep his beloved thieves free from the eye of his master, chaos herself, but having served her will and whim for long enough, he came back to claim the throne that would always be his. He would always know what he had done, and many men beneath him would know as well. Of these things stories were told, but none would ever say for sure.
As the details of the ancient thief king's miss doings were vague, so was the principle of the powers he held. Even as a mere mortal man, Seebo Malcali was one from legend, and now that he was more than mere men, the king of thieves was a dark question mark on the face of all others.
In a hundred years of peace, he's found a lot of time to play. At this point in time, the great thief king is more myth than man, and prides himself in both his uncanny perception and the suspicion of others.
