There was a loud hiss and crackle of energy as the dark circle slid under the armoured soles of the General's feet, and holy magic sensed the touch of dark power. Small sparks of gold and purple spewed upward, and the circle of energy wavered, flickered and died.
"I go where I will," Cassius replied calmly, "And am my own man. Nought about me is fake, foul temptress. Look inside yourself for that particular trait. You seek to tempt me, to fool me into making a hast decision, and follish mistake." Cassius said, his stare hard and his tone low.
"So be it." He said simply, as he ran forward several paces and leapt to the rooftop, landing with surprising grace and fluidity in his ornate armour.
Tiles shot from beneath his feet and clattered to the floor as he stood straight and turned to face the Vampire. "Do not seek to lecture me. I want nothing of your lies." He went on, his tone just as low and as threatening ans before, growing colder all the while.
"Irrinais irr eoter, soro orsa bersian perai, tothe arakin cuio adaur Karador." Cassius said, his voice rising as he spoke in the old tongue, invoking the ancient words that had been spoken so many times before by his forefathers and their noble bretheren, the words to which the very blade he held had slain evil of all forms to -
"I am the light that dispells the dark, the flame that burns eternal, I am your ending, the defender of mighty Karador!"
Suddenly and with freightening speed he raised his massive blade, the living fire that danced across it flaring into life, shifting through the ancient runes of power as he advanced on the vampiress.
((OOC: The verse is about the sword, not Cassius))
