Kalista turned the remainder way around and regarded him for quite some time before she answered him, or more to the point, before she would tell him what it was she needed to. She took the few steps over tot eh open door of the inn and then stopped just before him, looking at him as he spent a few moments to play with the bug. She grinned further and shook her head slightly.
“No, being on my bad side isn’t a good thing I would think.” She started. “However, if you still wish to sneak in and out on your own, for practice, then I would encourage you to do so, I will still give you this…” She opened her hand, palm up and a small chain appeared, the seal of Karador embedded into a pewter pendant, the twisted tree raised and golden. “So that if you are caught, sneaking about, all you would need do is be wearing this, as it will only be worn by those I wish it to be.” She stated; the pendant obviously charmed. “There are but two out there in this world at the moment, this will make three, I entrust this to you.” She told him as a final note to her explanation.
Kalista was not one to rust others so easily; her entrusting him with free roam to Karador was a great thing. She had no thoughts that he would break that trust.

He truly wanted to scream and shout and holler and hoot. He never expected to befriend anyone so quickly, least of all a queen. Even one so open and caring as this.
"I am truly greatful," he said a bit too loudly as he stood smiling a huge smile, another surprise in his toothy grin. He had lived soo long with he forgot they were there. Those two fang like pointed teeth, he used to cut his tounge on when his father had a man make them in his mouth when he was a boy. One of the most painful things that he had ever experienced. "If you cannot use your entire body as a weapon," he said "then you can never truly be my son."
His father's words never far from him. But too far now for him to hear. This queen, this woman, the magical beauty who stood as tall as a tree, and just as firm as the one emblazoned on her sword. She had just made his day, his month, hell might as well have been his life. Not even his father had ever been so nice to him, but that was for another reason and perfectly logical.
"I do thank you lady. I will join you in your garden on the morrow. Shall I bring anything, as I do believe we have alot to talk about."
About that time he realized he was grinning quite broadly and promptly closed his mouth to cover his fangs, now feeling self conscious.

Kalista watched him and still waited for him to take the pendant from her, in his excitement of finding that she did indeed trust him so toughly he had forgotten to take it. She waited patiently, her hand now closing over the chain and she began to swing it back and forth, slowly before him a truly devilish smile on her lips. “You seem pleased Zach.” She stated simply, not even batting an eye at the elongated teeth he possessed. She learned long ago not to question that sort of stuff, honestly, in these times, one never knew what they would find in a person.
“Just yourself, I will have the kitchen pack us something to eat as you are right, we do have a long talk coming tomorrow.” She told him and then grinned. “Have fun in the forest and beware the Dryads, though they usually keep to themselves, they can be a troublesome lot at times, but so long as you aren’t lighting fires, you should be fine.” S he then told him and went quiet, waiting for him to snatch the pendant from her fingers.

Turning bright red as he realized that he had not taken the pendant from her as it swung back and forth in her hand. "Oh now youre just teasing," he said his grin returning as if with a small wind his hood puffed slightly, his hair swayed seemed to fill with the same small breeze as his hood. The pendant dangling now from his middle finger.
"The problem with ever increasing abilities through selective breeding, is that in the course of 2 millenia, those abilities get pretty damn good. Especially when one is taught to use them from the time they can walk." Although for some reason, he thought she saw him.
"I shall see you tomorrow Kalista."
He bowed slightly after putting the pendant on his neck, and producing a small leather thong he dropped his hood and tied back his hair.

Indeed Kalista did see his move however, she didn’t move a muscle to try and stop him, as it was what she wanted him to do, take the pendant. She smiled one last time at him and then once more inclined her head.
“Very well, I will see you on the Marrow then and don’t forget to head my warning about the dryads, they truly are rather pesky.” She said. “But now, I really must be getting back to things up at the Keep, I am certain they are missing me.” She chuckled. “Too bad.” She finished and then turned away. “Good night Friend.” She commented as she began to walk away.

He stood and watched as she walked away. And as she made a few more steps away he took the roof tops. Three solid bounds and kick offs from wall to wall and there he was already speeding through the night, his nostrils already taking in the smell of the forest, he would get a room later.
