Julius was glad that her more serious conversation topic on the then current events of the world had truly just been intelligent conversation and not some trick of questionable answers. Or otherwise he had passed the test if it was one. Either way, he wasn’t so much interested in continuing that conversation any further than it had gone, though as smoothly passed as it was. He was more interested rather, in her later comments reflecting on his wonder at her observation. She was making it more than obvious that she was headed in the same frame of mind as he was for the nights fullfillment and he certainly enjoyed the thought. He didn’t say anything the whole while she was speaking, didn’t make much sound at all either; only the clanking of his tankard on the table as hed set it down time to time after drinks, and he was drinking faster than before, taking swallow after swallow with little time for the flask to rest on the table.
Julius kept his eyes firmly locked on Anasha the whole time she spoke to him, hesitating and biting her lip as she spoke. He quite liked the way she spoke, so lustiously, so sultry; she was making him make up his mind on making a more forward move even than he had been. He didn’t even so much as make a further comment on her remark as to his form, as much a he enjoyed the seductive compliments of hers, but rather continued to lower the level of his drink in his flask and grinned at her in a manner that showed he had one thing predominently in mind. Having finished his tankard of ale yet again, Julius placed it on the table and stood only slightly; just enough to hold himself off the seat as he grabbed the edge of the table with on hand and swung himself around to her side, gripping the leg of the chair with his foot twisted around it. As he swung around the table, the chair followed and as he came to be immediately next to her, he went to sit just as swiftly and fluently as he had risen and swung around, and the chair bounced lightly on its legs until he pressed it down with his weight upon it. The drinks had definitely been hitting him and for a moment he wasn’t even sure he was gonna make that smooth transition.
He put his one arm over the back of the chair that sat behind hers, hanging that arm behind her but not resting it on her shoulders at all, or even on her own chair. As forward as he meant to be, he still didn’t want to overstep any bounds and take more than she was giving him. He knew she was looking at him more than favourably, but he wanted to wait for her to take another step before he went ahead and got too close and personal; kindof a respectful barrier of sorts. He was chasing her, so to say, but he refused to grab, prefered her to give.
“Theres nowhere to go, out and about after hours you realise.” Julius said with a great grin, looking her in the eyes again. He hadnt even had to signal the bartender this time, the man had taken note of the two by that point and seemed to glance over time to time to check up on them as it were, and so was already on his way with the flasks. “Closing time is coming soon and theres only one place to go from here without suffering the guidance of the city guard.” The bartender placed the two tankards down on the table just in time for Julius to turn and look at him, pausing in his forward conversation with Anasha. “Start us a tab on me.” He said to him, “I’m not heading out tonight.” After speaking, Julius simply turned to face Anasha once again, taking up his new flask in hand and taking a couple swallows before resting it down on the table again, never taking his hand off the handle. Simply leaving the bartender to his own, Julius sortof forced him to comply with the request. Since he’d be charged for a room to stay in anyways, there was really no reason to keep fetching coins at every flask.
“If we intend to keep the night going much longer we’ll have to stay in.” there was no discontent in his tone whatsoever of course; not even so much as pretend. He even smiled instead, showing quite obviously his pleased frame of mind with the idea of spending the night. “And I’ll be more than happy to do any amount of work for you Anasha.” He continued, that feindish grin still clear on his face. “Smithing and otherwise.” He left his comments at that, taking another gulp of ale. He was definitely clear onwhat he was saying, but still would wait for her to give him the go before taking it.
