She wouldn't question his answer even as cryptic as it was. Her father often told her that there were good people out there that didn't always do the best things in life. Instead she smiled up at him and nodded.
“Ok.” She answered and then that small smile she'd graced him with grew even larger at his suggestion of a frozen treat.
She hopped up off of the ledge of the fountain and then took a step towards the stall he'd pointed at, paused and spun around. She took a step back towards him and then threw her arms about his neck.
“Thank you.” She told him sweetly before releasing him and turning to walk away again. "For everything, and greatly for the treat." She managed a last smile in his direction as she patted her pocket. Like her father told her, some people who don't always do good, can still do good things and Drake was one of those people she knew for certain now.
She noticed the weight in her pocket the moment she had stood up and though she had no clue how long it'd been there, she knew it had to have come from him because in her experience, lint never turned itself into coin.... never.
“And, you are fun.” She told him without looking back as her feet took her lightly over the cobbled street.
She truly was glad she’d stopped to say hi to Drake. She hoped she'd made herself a new friend. Of course she wasn't the type of person who had friends she hung with daily or anything. No, to her a friend was someone you could go long periods of time away form and still be able to talk to as a friend the next tie you met. Others called those acquaintances. She thought of an acquaintance as someone who you happened by at a market and talked about prices of beef with. Not someone you hung out with at the square, even if just once, and they were general concerned for you well being. She smiled, stepped up to the treat stand and ordered her usual.
