“Great minds think alike.” he smiled wryly as Kaye tossed him a black shirt. He got up and put the tank down on the table next to the washroom, next to the lesser of his dirty ones.
She had stuffed her bag back up by then, and Street pulled his shirt off, then loosed his belt and dropped his pants. He held the dirty shirt in one hand, picked up the other dirty shirt in the same hand, then bet over to pick up his pants. With clothes in hand and none on him, Street walked up to the table where Kaye was standing and put them all down. “Kindling?” he joked, then turned towards the washroom where she had suggested a bath would be waiting.

Kaye watched as he undid his belt and then as he slid his pants off right there in front of her. She bit her lower lip and blushed instantly; all those earlier thoughts flooding into her mind at once. She of course hadn't expected him to undress in her presence but in spite of her blushing, she didn't look away from him either. She caught herself watching him walk over to her and realized she wasn't breathing. She silently extended her hand out and took up his clothes and didn't start breathing again until he turned and started walking away. It took her a moment to recover and she moved over to the pull cord that would tell whoever was in attendance tonight to come and retrieve the clothing.
It took no more than a couple minutes for someone to knock on the door. She moved to the door and told the person standing outside to mend and clean these items by morning and then closed the door and moved to the bedroom where she stripped herself and put the sleep gown on. The gown was made of a light cotton, white in colour and kind of looked like a short summer dress the hem reaching mid thigh and had spaghetti string ties that tied at the top of the shoulder. Once she'd finished dressing she picked her other things up and moved back to the main room and plucked her drink from the table and sipped it quietly. Just then she remembered the robes in the closet of the bedroom and put her drink back down and went and got one for him when he'd finished up with his bath.
She took the cotton robe over to the still ajar door and pushed it open slightly and without coming in, laid it down on the floor. “How's the water she asked as she retreated from the room to retain her glass of wine once more.

Street had grinned as he walked away, having gotten a rise out of Kaye that he felt flattered by. He had knowingly pushed boundaries, and decided it had been successful. Seeing her blush and bight her lip had drawn temptation to push further, but that would just be taking advantage. He enjoyed drawing emotion from her, and took pleasure in seeing her vulnerable that way, but would it would feel dirty to push when her walls were weak.
It took him a bit to get in the water. It was rather warm and he wasn't used to having hot water. It seemed more unusual to him than the wine, but once in it was clear to him he liked it. He'd found himself holding his breath on the way in, and let a great sigh once he sat comfortably at the bottom and leaned his shoulders against the sides. Bathing was usually a purely functional process preceding his more pleasurable swim in the lake, but with this tub he couldn't help but lay back and close his eyes. “The water is great.” he responded a little stunned. He had found himself somewhat entranced by the comfort of the hot water before Kaye's voice broke him out of it, and it wasn't long after before he was back in it.
He definitely understood why people who could have things like this would chose to of course, and he soon found that he clearly liked them too. That fact didn't break the weight of realizing the true vastness that separated people in wealth, but it brought a new angle to it – He wanted these things.
There was soap next to the tub, along with a variety of cloths and sponges. He realized that as he stirred himself from thought and opened his eyes again. He scrubbed himself down with the soap and rinsed himself off, unsure what to do with the other things. Once done, he eyed the cloths and sponges again, then picked them each up one by one and scrubbed himself all over with each of them. They each seemed different from the others and all felt quite nice. He picked out a couple favourites; the rough sponge and the softer cloth, and rubbed his face thoroughly.
Eventually, Street stood from the bath and dried himself off with one of the fluffy towels hanging near the tub, and continued to rub himself down with it long after he was dry. He saw the cotton robe on the floor, but wasn't completely sure at first what it was. He wasn't familiar with such clothes, so walked to the doorway where it lay on the floor, picked it up, and examined it. Having determined the shape of it, he put his arms in the sleeves and put it on, then found the cord and tied it up before leaving the doorway and joining Kaye again in the main hall where he too, picked up his empty wine glass and carried it towards Kaye.
He looked up at her and slowed, stunned for a moment, and grinned as he looked her up and down again in the light gown she had changed into. She left plenty to the imagination of course, but inspired it as well. He naturally thought a lot of things as he stood next to her and continued to stare, licking his lips as well.

She smiled when he answered her from the bath and then took to rummaging through her pack again as he soaked in the tub. She found what she'd been looking for, her lotion. She sat at the table and then commenced to moisturizing her legs and arms and then capped the bottle back up. The light lavender scent of the lotion put a smile on her lips and she leaned back and plucked her glass from the tabletop again. After taking a small sip or two, she set it aside once more and again, repacked her bag and then set it on the floor and took out the bread from the basket and cut it into slices with the knife they put in there just for that. After finishing with the bread she moved onto the cheese. Soon she had finished it all and set it out on one plate for them to share when he got out of the tub.
Kaye turned around when she heard his steps coming over to her and brought her cup to her lips and took a small drink from her wine. Again a small blush came to her cheeks as he slowed and looked her up and down and once more she bit her lower lip letting it slide from between her teeth slowly as he still stood there just looking at her so hungrily. Finally, she shook her head as if yanking herself out of some sort of trance and then turned, picked up the plate and put it between him and her. She honestly didn't know how long she'd be able to keep this up. Sooner than later perhaps, she was going to run out of distractions.
“Snack?” She asked with a smile as she took a piece of cheese from the plate and popped it in her mouth.

He grinned again as he caught her enjoying his attention, and watched her lips as she bit them. Kaye was attractive to him in a lot of ways and more than anything, he was enjoying wanting her.
“Sure thing.” Street answered softly as he took a piece of the soft sliced bread and sat on a chair facing Kaye. “This is great,” he started then, peeling the piece of bread into smaller parts and fitting one into his mouth. “Thanks.” He was quiet for a moment as he chewed another piece. “Really, I couldn't tell you how great this is. You're awesome. I told you I love new experiences – well this really is one.”
He took a quick look around the table while chewing the last piece of his slice of bread, then picked up the bottle, refilled his cup, and topped hers off for good measure.

After he sat down she moved to the other chair at the table and after settling the plate between them, she sat and took up her glass. She took a long draw form the contents and then swirled it about for a moment before taking a piece of bread off the plate and, like him, pulled a small piece off and popped it in her mouth.
She beamed over at him after his compliment as well his telling of his liking the experience she had provided him with. “Well I'm glad you are enjoying yourself because there for a moment earlier I seriously thought you were going to spew.” She said and then moved on. “It is a lot to take in all at once isn't it?” She then stated seriously. “I truly hadn't realized how different this all was. I mean, I get that you don't have a home but I would have thought that maybe you would have at least had stayed in a room at an inn before this.” She sighed. “I guess things are just that different.” She gave a half laugh. “And here I thought to actually take you home and let you stay in the spare room for the night...' She laughed again. “....then I thought better of it of course. At least for now.” She took another piece of cheese and ate it before she continued. “But don't think you'll get out of it if you stick around... sooner or later you'll have to meet...” She made a horrifying face. “dun. Dun .. DUN... THE PARENTS.” She burst out laughing. “Sorry..” She tried to stop laughing at the images in her mind. The parents trying not to judge and all that, the laughter was more at her parents expense than his. “Really... parents can be so tiresome at times.” She then stated just before eating another piece of bread. “Don't get me wrong I absolutely love my parents, its just.. well.. they’re parents.” She offered up another half laugh.

Street sat back in his chair and rotated between the bread and cheese as he listened to Kaye. She had covered a variety of topics really, and he wasn't sure where to begin when she was done. “I wouldn't know.” He laughed a little about the parents. He wasn't sad and wasn't playing for pity in any way. He had learned to accept his life long before, and had no hard feelings over his lack of ever having had any parents. “It sounds like yours are great though.” He smiled and took a sip of his wine. “And that's good to hear, when everyone else I know hasn't had that.” Again, there was no play for pity, he just was really glad to hear of parents being what they ought to be. “Really, I'm sure I'd love to meet them.” He shot her a soft smile and took another quick sip of wine.
I really thought I was gonna be sick for a bit there too. This is a whole other world from mine, even just down the stairs and through the door is something else entirely. The bar is my usual adventure to a better place, and really I shouldn't spend the copper I do on mead, but It's kind of my retreat. I get a coin or two from nice people in the square sometimes that take pity on rats like me, and I feel bad for it 'cuz they earned that copper and just gave it over to me, but it's all I've got sometimes. I try to make the best of it gambling in the alley – My most sure play is usually taking bets to fight, so I do that a lot to raise a copper coin and afford some soup or something. Sometimes I have to save up when my stuff gets worn like my razor or my pants, but I'd never gather enough to rent a room.” He paused a moment in thought and ate a piece of cheese before moving on. “There's so many rats out there, and lots younger than me like I was once, so I try to help them out when I have a spare coin or two. Life is just simple you know? Food and water are the main concern, and we cant ever look past that for better things, 'cuz we're always looking to get what we need today.” His explanation sounded pretty sad, and that wasn't where he meant to go.
“Sorry.” he looked up at Kaye and took another sip of wine. “I've got to figure out a way to do better.” He changed the tone to his more recent take on his heavy realization. “There's got to be a way I can make money and help those kids more. I'm used to it you know, It's all I've ever known, but now that I see this I feel sick thinking about little Claire foraging for fucking crackers and all those kids that have to learn to live out there. There's got to be a way I could make enough to buy them food, even just stuff like this, you know? And show them some place better to sleep than that damn leaky cellar with the bugs or the crawl space under the bridge.”

Kaye listened and ate. She of course didn't feel sorry for him or any of them really. She was sad that she hadn't realized what their life really was, but there was no pity. She definitely did not like the fact that he would have to fight for money. Nope not one spilt second did she entertain the thought otherwise.
“Ya, like I said... I am lucky I have parents that at least try to understand their children.” She replied to the parent comment.
She smiled softly at him and then sighed. “You know...” She started and took down the last of her wine. “I don't think I've ever spent so much time talking to a person... ever.” She told him in all honesty. “Don't ever apologize for telling it how it is Street. I appreciate how you have not only listened to me ranting but as well allowed me to try and understand where you come from. “ she sighed once more. “As far as what to do...” She thought for a moment. “I don't know.. we'll figure something out.” She lightened up and flashed him a warm but near devilish grin.
She wasn't sure if he'd caught the 'we'll' instead of 'you'll'. He'd confided in her over a great many things and now she felt compelled as well to try and help where she could. Of course she couldn't just up and rent a room for them all and knew that would never be a thing but certainly there had to be something she could do to help Street which would help the rest in the end.
Kaye stood then and moved over in front of Street and put her hand out to him to take.

Street smiled fondly as Kaye spoke. She had implied her aid for finding a solution, which was more than he'd hoped for. He'd never really rallied for a cause before, besides the spur of the moment acts in the streets. It felt vindicating to have cooperation so freely. It was also relieving, since he knew nothing really of money, and she would know far better it's real value in earning more. Having never had more than a couple coppers at a time, he had no concept at all of any greater values. The cost of standard things like shelter and what would be a fare rate of pay for work were things he'd never known.
“Just talked,” He started, thinking, “I haven't either.” He paused and smiled at Kaye for a moment. “You're really amazing, you know? I only just met you this afternoon and you're changing my life.” With a simple look of pleasant wonder, Street smiled and stared at Kaye as he took her hand and stood.

As he took her hand she lead him over to the rug in front of the couch. “Untie your robe and lay down... on your stomach.” She flashed him a 'be good' look and then smiled warmly as she knelt down waiting for him to lay himself down.
“You're pretty amazing to you know.” She then sated in response to his earlier statement. “I've only just met you today and already not only have I spent more time talking to you then anyone else I know, I've spent more time with you than anyone in a single day.” She kind of gave a half laugh at herself. She just realized she truly had become a hermit in her circles. “I'm glad I chased after you today...” She added and then patted the floor. “And once you've laid down I”ll need you to take the robe off your shoulders as well please.” She told him.

He wasn't sure what was going on at first, but he soon caught on to what wasn't going on. He returned a coy grin to her abating look and then teasingly bit his lower lip and dragged his teeth across it while untying the loose knot in his robe, all the while staring her in the eyes. “Why, thank you.” He returned jovially to her compliment, before laying down on his front as she ordered and shuffled the robe off his shoulders. He still wasn't sure what was going on, but figured he had every reason to follow her orders, no matter what was happening.
“I'm glad you did too,” He began with his head turned left to look at her through the corner of his eyes, his cheek half smushed against the rug, “but why did you?”

She took the robe and moved it down until it was all rested neatly over his butt and then she moved her hands upwards along his back from lower to shoulders and began what would be, she hoped, a very pleasant back rub.
“Why?” She asked and then though a moment while she worked on a knot. “Well, I kinda caught what was going on from the start and decided to follow you just in case you might have needed some help...” She laughed. “Not that you really needed help in apprehending those jerks but I mean just the kind of help I provided in the end...” She continued as she moved her hands about his back, lightly in some places a little more vigorously in others. “Though I am certain you could have gotten away from those guards had you wanted..” She stated as to stop any argument to the fact. “...but that wasn't the point. I know those guards, and believe me, jerk is giving them a compliment.” She continued as her hand still moved about nimbly over his back. “You hadn't done anything wrong but had you gotten away this time, they would have eventually found you and well.. ya....Oh and...” She laughed again... “remember the girl you fell into?” She asked.

This was definitely a new experience; yet another in a long string of them that day. Kaye's touch was relieving and at times, almost sickeningly pleasant. It took a few moments to respond, as Kaye's attentions were proving rather distracting. “I was too busy getting tackled to notice,” he began, his eyes closed, but it was a more supple landing than stone. I enjoyed that.” Through the laboured breaths, there was a joking tone.
“Sword to flesh didn't leave me the best of odds,” he rebutted through those laboured words, “after I left myself open to them. I guess that's what I get for mistaking cooperation for justice, so it's good you followed. I should have ran when I had the chance, but I'm glad now I didn't”

“Ya, I bet you are.” She pressed into another knot just under the right shoulder-blade. “And I’m glad I was a nice landing for you.” She then laughed. “I guess you can say that you were literally thrown at me today.” She laughed though never let up on her massaging his back. “I'll have to thank that jerk at some point.”
You really should get this done more often you know...” She laughed again. “Well, I guess I can always find the time...” She bent forward and placed a small kiss on his shoulder as her hands moved down to the middle of his back.
She was quiet after that but continued to rub his back making certain to get as many knots as she could. She thought about stopping to light a fire but figured it was plenty warm in the room so let the thought go just as quickly as it had come to her. Instead she leaned in and kissed him between his should-blades this time. She couldn't help herself, she just wanted to kiss him all over.

The first kiss she put on his back stopped his breath for a moment more than the knot she rubbed. “I agree.” he grinned, “Now that you mention it, but you know those new experiences I said I like; this is a great one.” She really was providing a great pleasure and he felt teased at more, but much as before and he found more and more, he rather enjoyed wanting her.
The next kiss she graced his back with was harder to ignore and his breath caught longer as he bit his lower lip for real, trying to stay his mind. He found himself hard again but this time pressed to the floor rather than against her. “Forget about him, I'll gladly throw myself at you any day.”
