Fæ walked down the street with a small fish in hand. She had recently obtained it at the market for free, the merchant having felt pity for her. I can't believe I got a whole fish! She thought to herself, and for free, too! She moved swiftly down the lot toward the lot she had purchased at a discount price the other day. The owner of the lot had been quite confused, as she had purchased only a tiny piece of land from him, and in his confused state made exceptionally idiotic blunders. She stopped before her home, a small tent, with a fire pit outside. A kettle hung over the fire pit. She never bothered taking it down, because any thief dishonorable to steal from someone so poor had to be stupid or desperate in the first place.
She brought a canteen of water forth from her house and poured herself a glass. She exchanged the kettle with a frying pan, and began gutting and de-boning the fish while it heated up. She placed the fish on the pan and watched it sizzle, her mouth watering at the scent of her first meal in three days. Her stomach growled with anticipation, and began to burn again, which she knew meant she should eat. She took the fish off of the pan, which she had made herself, with a stick she had whittled into an eating utensil. She placed it on chipped earthenware, and began to cut it with a dull knife, with the tip broken off. She used the stick to stab the meat, and brought it to her mouth, eagerly awaiting the taste of fish...

She didn’t notice her, but that was fine with the tiny little fairy, sitting on top the tent, looking over the evening fire where the human had just cooked her meal. She watched with her little onyx eyes at how hungrily the human devoured the fish she ahd cooked and she frowned, wondering why it was that humans always seemed to find food to be the hardest thing to have about them when there was always so much of it in abundance all over the realm, always it seemed there was another human sitting about in its tiny hut, shouting out that he or she has fruit or meats or whatever. Krystal didn’t understand the meaning of money or buying what was needed, where she came from, nothing was ever for sale, everything belonged to everyone, and no one ever went hungry or without aid, ever.
As she sat there now, she held in her tiny little fingers an even tinier twig, just a very small piece of an apple tree from the orchard in the Queens personal gardens. She now closed her hand about the tiny thing as her wings set outward and flapping fast, drew her tiny form up and off the tent and then over and toward the human female, her small, three-inch form moving silently as she rose up to look straight in the other’s eyes.
“Hi…” She said in a conversational tone. “Names Krystal, who are you?” She asked, her little onyx eyes staring right at the large, well, to her large, eyes of the human girl

Fæ looked up, hearing a voice, but not knowing its origin. She turned her head rapidly, until her eyes fell upon the fairy right in front of her. Immedately, she jumped back, having been surprised. It took her a few more moments to register that which had been said. "My name is... Færys Sae-- I mean Færys Tiranas." She stopped a moment, not knowing how else to repond. "Um... You are a... fairy..." She blurted out the obvious, in an attempt to make sense of the situation, having been talked to during her meal by a complete stranger, and a fairy at that...

Krystal giggled at the Fairy comment as her tiny wings fluttered quickly to hold herself in one place. “Yes, I am a Fairy, Færys.” She responded tot eh girls surprise. “I do apologize, I didn’t mean to startle you. “You are human, right? I mean, of course you look human, even smell human, but…” She fluttered up closely again. “Hum, there seem to be a whole lot of creatures in your world that look just like you, and one can never be really certain as to what they are talking to.” She admitted in all honesty. Krystal had met a few characters since her arrival in the human world, and only a few had actually BEEN human. She was surprised that there was so many different kinds of creatures co-existing together with such ease. Where she came from, they just simply didn’t allow other creatures to live there, it was their home, though always welcomed guests, so long as they were polite and not in the mind of trying to capture them for some sort of demented plan to try and control their Fairy power over the natural world.

"Well... I... Yes, I am human," Fæ replied, regaining her composure, "I guess, well, I could get used to this place. It's definately the best place I've been in so far. I've mostly run from my father... So, Krystal, could you tell me about yourself? What brings you to my door... err... tent?" Fæ set her half eaten fish down, so she could try to fix her hair, but it just kept going back to where it was before. She smiled at Krystal, wondering why she had started talking to her...
