Raven (Tamura Davoki) walked through the shadows briskly which caused a whoosh of his cloak to blend with the sound of the ever-pouring rain and the sound of his hard boots on the cobblestone road. His cloak made it so that when in darkness he could be seen only by magic or if someone knew of his presence, thus at every rumble in the sky he was yet again visible due to the light it cast upon him.
When Raven had finally reached the guards at the gate he lowered his hood revealing his face and wet figure, his eyes opened and bore the mystery behind his fluid-like silvery gaze. His face was void of all emotion or care as he asked the guard to raise the gate before walking in and making his way to the Entrance Hall, to speak to the head of the city.

Kalista stood at the gates of Karador in full armor, her helm was carried under her left arm and the sword of Karador lay in its sheath at her side, ready to be wielded if need be. She had been talking with the guard pertaining a certain misplaced Captain and was now, as she turned to gazer into a pair of silvery orbs that seemed to stare with such fluidity that they could not possibly be human.
Now Kalista was not one for playing games of any sort and to play games with one who was not human, was not going to set her at ease at all. The war-like, sorcerer Queen however, was in good spirits and so, she walked ahead of the guard and inclined her head to him.
“Hello, and Welcome to Karador, state your business sir and I might be so inclined as to allow you passage through my gates.” She said to him in a most neutral tone, her onyx eyes taking his full being in as she looked without looking, her gaze remaining fixed to his.

"I assume you are the Leader of sorts to these... people." His face retained its shape and his eyes remained fixated although it seemed he was looking through this... being. "I am Tamura Davoki, and my business is my own, please let me pass." Lightning struck at the end of his words casting a blue glow on his pale face before the sound of thunder rumbled in. A lantern flickered and blew out.

The two guards standing at Kalista’s back made to move in front of their Queen but Kalista put her free hand out to rest on their armored chests and stopped them. “There is no need…” She stated, her gaze never faltering its hold on the vampire as she spoke, her arm once again moving back to its resting place on top the hilt of her sword, a most comfortable resting place.
“I am indeed the … leader of these people, and yes, this is my home as well my Country and much more.” She started, a silvery touch coming now to her own onyx orbs as the lightning flashed above them, hinting that she was no ordinary being he faced, no, much more. “I am Kalista Karador, Queen and Overlord to the Karadorian armies and I do, as I have stated, welcome you to Karador with open arms, though I must ask your intentions sir, as the city has indeed been put in lockdown of sorts due to certain circumstances.” She told him, hoping he would not be so impatient as to test her own patience in wanting a reason she should allow his passage, as she truly was not going to play games.

Raven could sense danger in not answering the question but knew better than to reveal his... "profession" as Assassinating people is not always condoned, come to think of it, it never is. Thus he decided to... bend the truth, "I am here for a meeting with a client of mine, he would like me to run a few errands for him, if you must know." There, he had not lied nor did he avoid the question again, worst case scenario was that they would capture him and try to figure out why he was really there, surely they would not kill him directly without knowing who he was working for... or so he thought.

Kalista allowed her gaze to seek deep into his own gaze for a moment and one of her brows shot up but she inclined her head to his and took a slight step back with her right foot, and gestured with her hand for the new arrival to step through the gate.
“There, not so hard as it had seemed now was it?” She questioned, her gaze telling him she knew he withheld something from her, but that as well, she was not going to press forward with it, for now.
She had allowed him to pass though, he would know she had an eye on him, and just how far her sight might reach would only be for her to know. He would have to be certain to take steps to avoid trouble for a bit before causing it, as she ‘had her eyes on him’ for the time being.
“I will walk with you through the Keep, I am headed back that way at any cost and I do so like company, from time to time, as well, I quite enjoy getting to know those who reside within these walls.” She told the vampire, her lips turning up to form a most unusual smile. It stated neither mirth, nor did it show happiness, but did hold within it, a certain undertone of enjoyment all the same for she knew this one would have preferred she kept to her own affairs. However, she did not push him for further explanation and that showed as well, that perhaps she did respect at least something of his privacy

Raven smiled with a horribly fake grin that had shown his subtle vampire teeth, and quickly turned his head away and back again, "Sure why not?" This was not good, he could sense the danger in this but there was no other option as if he had said no and made offense to this Queen his job would be much more difficult. He was scared of her presence and would not deny it, she could smite him with little to no effort. Attempting to free his mind from fear (the most common feeling he would ever wield) he asked casually, "What was your name again?"

Kalista deposited her helm into the hands of one of the guards. “Put this in a nice dry spot would you.” She stated, patting the man on the cheek. “Please, carry on and remember our conversation earlier.” She finished, and after the formalities of their salute, which Kalista returned half heartedly, she turned on one heal and began to walk forward, not waiting for the vampire a she knew he would follow, what choice had she given him after all.
“The name is Kalista, or Majesty, though honestly, I do prefer Kalista to all the formal names one could put to me…. If of course, you don’t mind.” She told him, her onyx eyes turning to the side and showing him she was serious, though joking all at once. “You, what would you prefer to be addressed as?” She asked then, her onyx gaze moving now forward as they walked the hall.
Kalista was a very busy woman, as well, a very powerful one, she had her hands very full with running a Kingdome, and yet, she always seemed to find time as well, to get to know all the characters that graced her lands on some sort of grounds or another. The only one here she had not actually at the very least seen, was the Necromancer that seemed to be dredging up so much trouble. This one, she most certainly would love to be introduced to.

Tamura's hair had become drenched and water now poured freely into his face, "You may call me by what you wish, although many call me Raven. So what's running a kingdom like?" He knew it must have been a time consuming job and therefore would probably mean that she is a busy, get-to-the-point type person, if so they might actually get along.
For a brief moment Tamura felt less threatened by Kalista but soon regained cautiousness as he feared she might be just playing a game to find out why he was here... or more.

“Right, Raven it is then, it somehow... seems fitting to you, though I don’t know why, yet.” She replied once gain allowing her onyx gaze to turn to the side as they walked, to gaze at him as she spoke.
As they walked, she took note of his rather drenched state and stopped for a moment and tilted her head towards him. “You seem to be in need of a towel.” She stated and then looked back into the shadows and inclined her head. Suddenly there were footsteps running off in another direction and Kalista grinned. “You should have something to dry off in a moment…” She stated, wondering how he would take now knowing that they were not exactly alone in the seemingly deserted hall.
After a pause, and no more than a few minutes had passed, the same footsteps could be heard again and when they stopped, Kalista turned and strode to the shadow and reached into it, taking her hand back, she turned and then presented the vampire with a warm towel to dry himself with. He would not have been able to since the creature that hid in the shadows, for it was not human, or even quite living, for that matter, simply a gnome of sorts, created by magic for purposes of watching.
“I believe that you will find that Karador offers much for its people. Do you intend on staying, or are you simply passing through?” She asked, as she awaited him to take the towel form her hand.

Raven reached his hand out slowly while glancing into the location where the towel had been removed from, he could feel strong magic here, undoubtedly she was a sorceress. Nevertheless what ever was residing in the shadow was not worthy of his time, it did not carry blood in its bones.
Raven gently grasped the towel and waited for her to let go before retracting his arm and stating, "I might stay here if it suits me, of course if everyone were like you I will probably stay," it was impossible to tell if he was being sarcastic or not as he kept the same tone of voice as he always had. Tamura dabbed his hair and face to remove the bulk of the water, before shaking his head like a dog might, sprinkling water everywhere.
"I like what you've done with this place, Kastila, its almost as if you'd expected me to come by," he said with a slight grin, as he handed the towel to the woman he had splashed water on.

Kalista allowed him to take the towel from her hand easily and then waited for him to dry off a bit as she listened to him speak. His words seemed to make it out as though he was much indifferent about his plans; this was not anything she wasn’t used to, as most people and creatures in the world seemed to act this way.
“Well, either way, just know that the hand of Karador does indeed welcome you if you decide to stay.” She told him, the moonlight coming through the picture window set behind them as it passed through a cloud in the rainy sky, casting a bluish light in her eyes, making then appear, for the moment as though they were made of ice before the moon was once again swallowed up and bound in darkness by another storm cloud.
A smile turned her lips up at his comment in decor. “Well, thank you.” She responded casually once again, her onyx eyes looking about the hall before she turned and began walking again. “Who knows, perhaps I did have you in mind when it was being built, things are usually done for a reason.” She stated, her tone jovial at this point.

Raven didn't know whether he was supposed to follow the queen or not but he decided that it was the better decision as he was not dismissed, besides Kalista wasn't an annoyance as most leaders are.
He had a wide grin on his face, now showing the right side of his set of teeth. "You know," he said with a short exhale from his nostrils to take the place of a mild laugh, "for a Queen, your pretty laid back... for a queen that is." At first he had stereotyped her into a bossy, ignorant, close minded nuisance, maybe he wasn't entirely correct...
Lightning struck again and lit up the hall with an electric-blue glow, and a loud crack, at this Raven flinched. Nature was one of the few things that he could not easily predict and therefore was one of the few things that stuck fear in him.

Kalista turned and looked at him after his little quip about her being laidback, for royalty. It was true, she was, but she hadn’t always been this way, not by far, at the beginning, she had been about as strict as could be, but over the countless number of years, she’d learned that there are far more important things to ruling a Kingdome than rules and laws.
“You know, after a couple thousand years, I suppose anyone not looking to die of a heart attach would have learned that creatures are not always what they seem, even if they are of the nature to use one as their dinner, if they so pleased.” She winked at him and did, laugh lightly, now turning her gaze to look forward once more.
They walked a bit further and she took note of his little jump as the lightning struck and raised a brow. She found it interesting that one such as he would be frightened of a simple thing such as the elements. Of course, being a sorceress, she knew how to control such things, if she so pleased and so had never feared a storm.
“You know, lightning is not such the enemy that we all have made it out to be, it actually can be quite fun, if you know how to use it correctly, of course.” She said, a sort of mischievous grin climbing over her features. “I remember once, setting spells about the castle when I was about twelve, and every knob in the place would shock any who opened them, it was really quite fun.” She said, seeming out of the blue, once again, a show that she was not above a good practical joke. “Man, did I ever get in trouble with that one.” She laughed as they turned down yet another hall.
She didn’t quite know why, but she felt comfortable in this vampire’s presence, he perhaps may be of use to her one day, though she wasn’t certain how, but maybe.

Tamura was a god-fearing man many years ago... before his change. He had loved life and exploited his happiness to unbelievable amounts, and somehow had managed to see the good in every situation. He was a priest and devoted his life to helping people with their problems. All that changed one night when his village was raided, the savages stormed every building in site torching them after they made sure nothing of value was inside. Tamura had gotten his wife and two children up and rushed them outside in an attempt to flee the town, but they were cut off. The raiders were quick and brutal, soon they had slain his loved ones and left their blood stained bodies lying where they had fallen, before striking a powerful blow to his face with a club which had left a cracking noise ringing in his mind as he lay with his eyes shut prior to falling unconscious.
Kalista reminded him of his prior life of joy, so for the time being he was still human and nothing bad had ever happened to him, because for now he was just a priest a priest that loved life more than anything. "Kalista," Raven said with a smirk, "I didn't know you would have the ability to be such a 'little troublemaker'," poking fun was not uncommon in his small talk, it was small talk that was uncommon with Raven.
