She couldn't help it. She just couldn't help it. Not that she was being disrespectful but the guards simply looked so... Stiff and stuck. She snickered in amusement and disgust. They had not noticed her entrance yet and she wondered how long it would last before someone would notice her. In the meantime she simply leaned into a column, a lazy smile spreading across her face. She could watch this all day long. Seriously. Watching people simply never got boring.
The peculiar girl, watching the guards from her shadowy spot against the column, couldn't have been much taller than five foot five. She was dresses completely in black, petite enough to be called skinny and delicate enough to be called pretty. Huge emerald green eyes, who could convince almost anyone she was innocence personified, were hidden behind long, black strands of silky hair, but they would have added to the delicateness if they had been visible, seeming to big for her small, pale face.
The girl, unfortunately, was everything but innocent. She was a thief, and she believed she was a good one. She probably was, given the fact that she had made it into her 19th year of healthy life. Her short fuse also added to her not-so-girly personality. Yet her patience compensated that often. Yes. She would have probably been a nice girl. If only she had grown up in a more civilized way than out on the streets. But that's life, is it not?

As the small girl lazed about against a column, watching the passersby she was indeed being watched as well, though, she wouldn’t have known, couldn’t have known the pair of ghostly onyx eyes that watch her pass by the guards as she had, nothing spectacular, as the palace guards were not the ones one would have to worry about in this Kingdome, no, that would be Cassius and his soldiers and that was a fact.
Kiara however, never seemed to miss a thing and just now, she wore a most amused expression as she watched this little girl so full on herself believing she had tricked all, but no, she hadn’t.
And so, as it went, Kiara floated down, invisible to the naked eye until she was right in front of the small framed girl and then allowed her form to appear in its own slow manner, sort of building up until she stood just a foot away from the girl dressed in black and gazed upon her with her ghostly eyes and smiled.
“Hello, and welcome to the lands of Karador.” She said in a ghostly whisper, hoping she wouldn’t startle the girl, but instead, wanting to make her presence known. “Guards can be ever so much fun to play tricks on, can’t they/” She stated rather than asked

A yawn escaped her lips as she simply stood there, waiting for someone to show up. And when she thought something shimmered in front of her she lazily rubbed her eyes before squinting them nearly shut, eying the figure before her solidify. She smiled and suppressed the urge to stick her hand through the woman, continuing to lean against the column.
"Finally! I wondered when the welcoming committee would arrive!" She said in a cheery tone of voice. "You're a ghost, aren't you? Bet you are! That's a neat trick. Wish I could vanish into thin air." She grinned at the thought and all the possibilities it would give her.
"And honestly, I wasn't playing tricks on the guards, simply watching them. I find it quite amusing that they can be so busy with simply trying to look mean and at attention when they have a guest waiting. Talking about being preoccupied." A small glitter of green showed through the black strands that fell in front of her face. She appeared to be smiling.
In a slightly aggravated motion she pushed her hair back, still smiling. "The name's Caelin. Happy to be here I suppose. And you were...?"

Kiara allowed a small grin to remain on her lips and she looked slightly over her shoulder at the guards and then back to the girl who still continued to lean, lazily against the column and then shrugged her shoulders. “To each their own, I suppose.” She started and then allowed her grin to widen slightly. “As for me, I quite enjoy teasing them, gives them something to from time to time other than stand there trying to look important.” She responded and then let her grin drop and her eyes move around the hall for a moment before returning to eh girl once more.
“Names Kiara Karador pleased to meet you.” She inclined her head slightly in a formal manner. “Oh, I am certain you will enjoy it here, just stay out from underfoot of the Guards and soldiers, and keep in mind that the city is, at this moment under military control due to the recent events and attacks of the Necromancer or ‘ers’, as it were.” She told the girl in way of allowing her to make her own decision as to stay or not. “It would seem there are plenty of things happening out there on those streets these days, everyone wanting for some odd reason to be the baddie of the land, yadda, yadda.” She continued and rolled her eyes slightly. “Oh, and one more small warning, well, not really a warning more of a for your information…” She started and then chuckled slightly. “Careful in the graveyard, the caretaker doesn’t take too kindly to visitors that might even belong there, he tends to be a bit… playful, but don’t ever let him scare you, he’s not mean, just as I said, a bit of a trickster.:” She finished and then shrugged her shoulders. “Well, I ‘spose that would be about it from my end, I hope you find a home soon, or stay that the guild, I am certain they have room there.” She winked at the girl and then raised a brow.

"Guards don't offer me much fun. They seem to respond to...correct. Almost predictable. So I'm afraid I seriously have to disagree with you. Soldiers are even worse I think. Especially higher military officers. They seriously seem to lack any form of humor. I guess it is a bad time to arrive for people who are looking for fun." She grinned sheepishly and pushed away from the column, standing up straight.
"I'll remember not to piss them off now that they have enough to worry about already. I'll be a good girl and I promise to stay out of their way. Out of their sight even. Wouldn't that please them?" Her voice sounded sincere, but the smirk on her face betrayed underlying meanings to her words. She wiped it of her face before continuing.
"I don't deal with the dead, don't like graveyards much you see, hope the only time I'll ever visit one is when they have to put me six feet under, but if I ever need to visit the graveyard I'll remember your warning."
A smile tugged at the corner of her lips upon Kiara's wink. It seemed they understood each other. "I prefer to work solo, but I'll pay my respect to the local guild. Connections are always useful. Thank you for your help and advice. It has been nice to meet you Kiara of Karador. Until next time..."
