The town was moving steady about as the mid afternoon sun was drawing to a close behind the trees in the distance. Cella and Faust walked through the throng of people towards one of the permanent shops in the city square. It was a large dance hall, something that brought in plenty of business during the night, being the only ‘club’ in the city.
Cella wore a thigh length lavender dress, its top was held up with tiny spaghetti straps and it matched her eyes to perfection, its silken threads clung fittingly to her small form. Her fiery locks were tied up, all but a few strands at either side of her head that were dangling down in soft swirls and framed her pale features nicely.
She looked over at Faust and smiled, almost nervously as they walked together towards their destination. This was it, an actual date with Faust, she couldn’t be more happy then she was now, not ever it seemed. The other day at the lake, when he had asked her on the date, it was about all she could do to keep herself from screaming ‘YES’ at the top of her lungs in enthusiasm. She had been nearly lost to this man the moment she had laid eyes on him, and every moment she had spent with him from then on in, only made her attraction to him all that much more strong. To her, he was quite possibly to kindest, most gentle and loving person she’ d ever known, and of course, he was about the hottest thing she’d ever seen as well.
“It’s so pretty out this evening, isn’t it?” She stated more than asked. “We couldn’t have been more lucky if we’d found a Genii and wished for the perfect evening.” She continued, a slight laugh behind her words.

“It’s so pretty out this evening, isn’t it? We couldn’t have been more lucky if we’d found a Genii and wished for the perfect evening.”
Faust turned and smiled. "Yes, very pretty out." He replied. It was cloudless and crisp, it was going to be the kind of night where you can see out into space, see every star that stretched out forever. Down the road the dance hall was in plain view, some people starting to get in and others waiting their turn.
Faust was wearing a casual suit, unbuttoned, a red shirt underneath. He was dressed formally enough not to stick out, but casually enough not to feel suffocated. His usual black coat and wide brimmed hat were left back at home, on the rack by his door. The doctor's white locks were now shining, like soft, newfallen snow.
"You look..." He paused, taking a second to admire her in every way he could. "amazing." He finished. The dress she wore was wonderful, form fitting and brought out her already beautiful eyes. Faust gently reached out and took Cella's hand as they approached the hall, getting into line.
It wasn't very long before they were inside. The dance hall was huge, a large dancing surface in the center. Along the sides there were tables for people who were to get tired of dancing, there was even a bar for those who needed drinks, though there were no drinks like those served at The Phantom, the local tavern.
Almpst as soon as they were both settled a minuet started to play and the lights dimmed slightly. Faust offered his hand to Cella and grinned. "Lets go, I haven't danced in such a long time..."

As he slid his hand in hers, she smiled softly once more and looked down as his hand closed about hers. She could feel just how small her hand felt inside his own and was suddenly swept over with a feeling of total safety and she relaxed, the nervousness that had been there just moments ago, chased away with his very touch.
“Thanks, and you look absolutely …” She smiled, and thought of what she wanted to say, a slight blush coming to her cheeks as she surprised herself at her own thoughts. “Perfect.” She finished, finding the best word she could to describe what she thought of him.
Cella looked him over once and then again on their way in the club, and it seemed to her, that as impossible as it was, he looked in every way, even better now than ever before. When the music to the Minuet began and he offered her his hand to such an intricate and most personal dance, she was more than ready to accept his offer, as well, more than happy to soon be closer to him. “Ok. I haven’t dance in a while either.” She said with a sort of half smile. Cella placed her hand in his as they made it out to the floor.

They walked on to the dance floor and began to dance. Faust put a hand on Cella's waist, the other still holding her hand gently. They started to sway back and forth as they danced to the minuet. Other people were also on the floor, dancing like them. Faust could see so many different kinds of people, old, young, some alone, some waiting for someone, some with a partner already.
"You dance very well." He said, spinning her gently. This was true, she matched every move he made, every move he wanted to make, it was amazing to him that she would move with such grace. The way she moved fascinated him, it almost seemed as if she was floating along, as if she wasn't even touching the ground.
He looked into her eyes softly, finding comfort and happiness there. Faust never knew why he always felt so happy when he was with her, how her very presence in a room could make him feel content. He wanted nothing more than to be with her, right where they were, dancing, nothing seemed more perfect. “I’m so glad you decided to come.” He told her, which was an understatement; he was ecstatic that she accepted his invitation.

Cella continued to gaze into his emerald eyes as they danced, she breathed in as they crossed first left and right arms, the right and left, taking one step in closer to one another, only to take one away again. His movements were as though he’d been dancing all his life, such grace and ease, every motion as if it were second nature. She wasn’t surprised, as he was always so graceful in his movements, as if he would never have a clumsy movement, or had, in his entire life.
“Thank you.” She responded after she’d once again been taken into his arms from the spin. “And you aren’t so bad either.” She continued, the soft smile broadening for a moment after she had responded.
As they danced, it seemed as though the rest of the dancers on the floor disappeared and they were alone, the people and walls of their surroundings melting away in a sort of hazy blur. “There would have been nothing keeping away from this night.” She then returned, her lavender eyes still caught up in his gaze, as if forever caught in a near hypnotic trance. “Are you sure it’s been so very long since you’ve done this?” She then asked.

“Are you sure it’s been so very long since you’ve done this?”
"Yeah, its been almost two months..." He replied. He was going to give her the reason, that he had been busy preparing for the switch from small clinic to big hospital, that he was getting all his things in order, but he decided not to, that he didn't want to spoil the moment with talk of work. They both had left their jobs back at the hospital for the night, they were not a doctor and nurse, only two people on a date, enjoying eachother's company.
The song ended and Faust gently bowed. He looked at her gently, into her lavender eyes for a moment and smiled. The next song began to play and the young man took his date once more, moving faster than before to the quicker song.

This song moved quicker, allowing for more intricate footwork than the one before. Now, they had a chance to really dance, her feet moving one in front of the other as he would spin her first away and then back in to him, only to turn her out once more, her silken dress, clinging to her hips the hem flinging outward, twisting this way or that, revealing her strong slim thighs as she moved. Cella was having the time of her life with Faust out on the floor and was certain he was too.
The time was flying by, they spent several songs in a row on the floor, some slow, some faster, the slower ones giving the two time to converse over things such as the night or just simple rambling about things they liked and such. Cella never once found an awkward moment in the time they spent together and quite simply, never wanted the night to end.
“Have you given the cat a name yet?” She asked him out of the blue, remembering the cat that had rounded his legs the first night she’ d gone for a visit with him to his home. “He’s really very pretty you know.” She then stated, her lavender eyes connecting to his, as they now dance one more slow dance, his arm about her waist, hers both in his other and resting half on his shoulder, though had moved slightly closer to the back of his neck now.

The last few songs went by so quickly, he had no clue where the time had gone, though Faust didn't really care. It was so amazing, dancing with Cella, he was, indeed, having the time of his life. He enjoyed the quick dances, admiring how well Cella danced, how flawless her movements were, but the slow dances he enjoyed more, where he could merely talk with Cella and look into her eyes.
“Have you given the cat a name yet?”
Faust shook his head. "I don't really think I have any right to..." He explained. "I don't own him, he just.... frequents my house when he's hungry." He shrugged. "For all I know he isn't a stray but owned by someone else and likes pilfering food." The young man chuckled as that was what the cat did, merely sit and wait for food until it got some. "If he deems it so fit that I name him, he'll let me know somehow."
Faust's thoughts trailed back to his home and how he usually couldn't wait to get back to his living room, settle down with a good book and read in front of the fire. It was now suprise, however, that he had no wish to do that tonight, he did not want this night to end, he had no desire to go home, no thoughts of rushing back.

Cella smiled further to his comment and answer, her fingers at the back of his neck, finding his long locks and absently began to twirl them through her fingers as he spoke. “Well, I suppose that is reasonable.” She stated to his answer. “Max came to me a while back, he was the dirtiest and probably ugliest creature I had seen a very long time, but I took him in and since then, he’s been at my side far more than anywhere else it would seem. Though he does tend to enjoy the company he receives at the hospital.” She laughed slightly, knowing that every hand there adored the silly mongrel dog.
They continued to dance as yet another song was played this one just the same as the last, though Cella most certainly didn’t mind at all. The mere fact that she was being held so close to Faust made her more than content to have all the songs the same. His touch was like nothing she’d ever imagined, being in his arms made her entire body tingle, her mind erase any other thoughts but what ever it was they were talking about, and as tot eh conversation, to her, it didn’t matter what it was, so long as she could hear his voice.
“You know, I do believe this is the first time I have ever been here.” She then stated. “All the dancing I ever did was with my father, but that was a long time ago.” She stated, the smile on her lips slipping for a moment, but returning almost as suddenly. “I remember we used to clear the living room of the furnishings and mom would play her piano and then dad..” She giggled a little. “Would walk over to me, bow and ask for a dance. We had so much fun.” She finished, her lavender eyes sparkling with the happy memory. “Where’d you learn to dance so wonderfully?” She then asked.

Faust saw her smile faulter for a moment. He knew that look, the look of talking about someone you've lost, he's seen it many times before. He knew that talking about it could be painful so he decided that on another day he would talk to her about it, about her father. "I learned from my uncle a few years back." He replied. "He was a good dancer, always out whenever he could, I had to preoccupy myself with something other than school back then and i decided on dancing."
The song ended and there was a slightly silence. Faust realized in that moment that Cella had been fingering his hair and he, in turn, was gently running his hands up and down her sides. "Want to get some drinks?" He asked in the brief moment between songs.

Cella grinned as he spoke, his words coming to her on a gentle voice, one that she had heard so many times as they worked close together, and one that she never tired of. Then he was asking her if she wanted a drink and though she didn’t want to feel the absence of his hands moving about over her sides the way they were, she had to admit to herself that yes, she was quite thirsty.
“Yes, a drink sounds perfect.” She returned, now, regretfully loosing his locks from her fingertips, the soft white tendrils of hair falling through her fingers one last time before she moved her hand away and allowed it to rest now at her side.
“Where did you study?” She asked as they walked away from the dance floor and towards the bar area of the club.
She just now realized the amount of patrons that had moved into the club, the night starting liven up now as the sun began to set outside, the nightlife coming to enjoy their favorite pastimes. “Wow, there are so many people.” She stated, looking about as they continued their way through the throng of bodies to gain access to the bar.

"I studied in Karador here." He answered, moving to the bar. "Was a long and dreadful process." He sighed, as it was. During his education he wasn't very social, nor had a lot of fun, he wanted to finish as soon as possible, though it almost drove him mad with stress. As a release and a way to socialize he took up dancing.
He smiled gently as he weaved through the crowd, it was going to be packed tonight, being Friday. There was a slight line at the bar and they waited patiently. He took Cella's hand in his again and looked at her for a moment, taking her in once more. "And where did you study?" He asked curiously. "Did you study here in Karador too?"
"Excuse me, you're holding up tha line." Said a voice behind him. Faust jumped and turned around to notice the line had moved and they were next. "Eh, welcome back to tha real world, what'll ya have?" The bartender asked, his sharp features turned in a slight frown.
"Erm...." Faust answered. "What are you having?" He asked Cella.

Cella smiled at the man behind them and then walked forward with Faust and when asked what she was having, she raised a brow and thought about it for a moment before ordering. “A glass of wine, red please.” She stated, and then smiled over at Faust.
Cella almost never drank, but just now, it sounded like something she wanted. “What are you having Faust?” She then asked, her lavender eyes watching him in a way that suggested she took in his every move, including the way his chest rose and fell with each breath he took.
IN her minds eye, she could see the man behind them growing impatient and he was beginning to irritate her, and she was just about to turn around and tell him as much, but decided that perhaps it was best not to start anything, this was supposed to be a fun night, why would she allow some stranger ruin it for her and so, instead she turned her head slightly and gave him the most innocent look, her lavender eyes blinking a few times and smiled at him then turned around and waited for Faust to order so that they could get their drinks and be on their way.

Faust turned to the barman, who was now looking rather impatient. "I'll have vodka." He said. The bartender poured the wine into a crystal glass with a small, thin stem and the vodka into a large mouthed glass and pushed them forward.
"That'll be three gold" He said, waiting for his pay.
Faust dug around his pockets for the money and picked out three gold coins and put them on the bar counter. He picked up the glasses and addresed Cella. "Lets go find someplace to sit and have these." He said.
They found a small table, away from the hustle and bustle of the dance floor and bar, and sat down. Faust placed glass of red wine in front of Cella and smiled warmly, taking a sip of vodka. "I'm having a wonderful night." He told her, to start things off.

Cella followed Faust to the table he had managed to find in the crowd and sat, taking her glass in her small hand when he placed it before her, her slender fingers delicately wrapping about the long stem of the glass and she brought the red liquid up to her lips and tasted the contends and then settled the glass down on the surface again.
“I am glad you are having a good time.” Cella said with a soft smile in his direction. “I am too, I couldn’t think of a time when I’ve had more fun/” She finished, bringing the glass to her lips once more to take another sip.
After she’d set the glass back once more to its resting place on the table, her soft smile grew a bit more. “Oh, ya...” She stated, “I forgot to answer your question earlier.” She went on. “I studied in Karador too, under the watchful eyes of cranky ole’ Mr. Grummet.” She stated making a funny face as if mocking a very cranky old man and then she laughed. “I remember he used to walk by and slam his ruler on the side of the desk when he thought you weren’t paying attention…” She started. “One time the ruler broke and the loose piece flew up and caught him right on the bridge of his nose. “I couldn’t help but laugh..” She laughed slightly. “I hated that ruler.” She finished, her laugh subsiding into a soft smile once more.
