Fæ walked down toward the lake, carrying a bundle of bloody clothes. She wore a fancy dress, long, pink, and covered in bows. She wasn't fond of it, for it was difficult to run in. She knelt at the edge of the lake, placing her clothes in the water. She repeatedly dunked her pants into the water, scrubbing them, trying to wash the blood covering them out of the fabric. Red water dripped from the legs of the pants as she pulled them out of the lake. "Now, of all times..." she complained. She noticed shadows among the trees, but, thankfully, none of them seemed to be following her. She then placed her nearly-clean pants aside, and began to scrub her torn shirt. If only she still had her flute, she wouldn't need to worry so much.
On top of all that was occuring, she had finished her last sandwich a week ago. She consoled herself thinking of how nice a fresh sandwich would taste, maybe even one without mold if she was lucky. She grabbed her stomach, as it began to sear with pain. She looked at her flushed reflection in the lake's surface, saying, "I can't believe I look that f*****g bad..." She threw a rock at her reflection, annoyed by what she saw. She smiled whimsically, brushing it off. "At least I haven't done that since last night!" No sooner had she spoken those words, when she felt a trickle of liquid down her leg. She stood up, tears welling up in her eyes, as she had obviously spoken too soon. She began wailing, tears falling from her face like a great river bursting from behind a poorly kept dam...
