Ashard kept quiet while Kiara finally let her emotions on this regard out. He knew she had to at some point before it ate her up inside. So he was happy that some came out now, even though it was not the whole load.
He didn't even flinch a ghostly muscle or twitch an eye when her sword came down on the statue, he never liked that one anyway. "No worries dear. It'll only give me something different to do while I tend my land. And variety is always welcome."
Seeing her change direction to head back to the graveyards entrance, Ash followed from several feet behind and he spoke softly. "I could offer you a grand home with many rooms and comfortable beds. I could offer you grand banquets with food that overflows the large tables everyday. I could offer you a nice warm bath. I could offer you so much, and yet it would not be what you need, what you want." He sighed heavily. "You can not know what he needs and wants. Don't decide for him."
After a short pause he frowned a little, "I have never heard a story of Kiara Karador quiting a battle for fear of loosing. Don't change that now."

"I have never heard a story of Kiara Karador quitting a battle for fear of loosing. Don't change that now."
Those words stung like nothing ever had stung her before. Ash knew what to say, knew what would drive her towards the place she needed to go and if there was one thing to clamp down on, it was indeed her reputation as never backing down from any fight, no matter the odds.
Kiara stopped her forward movement though did not turn around to face the other ghost as she did. His words still held in her mind like a small fire ignited in the middle of a dry field, soon, they would grow and take control over all, but not just yet, as the fire would have to jump over rock, before it could spread.
“You are right, never before have I given up on anything, when it involved a fight to defend what I loved…” S he started and then paused her head coming up and her gaze moving over the dark and quiet of the graveyard. “This time however, it might be best to allow the neutral party to make its own advance, just to see what it is capable of.” She replied. “Sometimes, a General needs to know when to reign in, as well as when to advance, and just now, I feel that to reign in and build on my defenses just might be a good idea.” She finished and then began to move forward again.

When she stood still where she was he knew he had struck a vein. He knew he would before the words left his mouth. "When it involves a fight to defend what you love? You so obviously love him." He plainly stated, knowing she could not refute that she did indeed love Cassius. "And you are right. A good general does need to keep back sometimes. But they always need good information on what they are going up against. For that, they need good scouts." He paused as he moved forward to place himself in front her and looked her in the eyes. "Cassius does not know us to be friends. He would never assume that a pesky freak like me, asking him questions about girls, would have any relation to you or your feelings for him." Giving her the most sincere look he probably ever had he continued, "I can be your scout general. It is something that I would like to do for you so that you may have the chance to know what your odds are, what you are up against, if you do indeed have a chance or not. At least then you could know for real."

Kiara watched him, studied his features as he spoke. She had known Ash long enough to know when he wasn’t joking around, and this was one of those rare few times. He really was quite serious in offering his assistance to her. The tiniest of smile began to form at the corners of her ghostly lips and she blinked her eyes slowly at him when he had finished.
“You are indeed the most curious of characters Ash, and I think it may be what I like so much about you.” She started, seeing perhaps that those words might not go to his head as much as some others she could have used. “I welcome the aid you offer then, an it pleases me to see you wouldst do so without the least bit of hesitation on your own part, tell me…” She paused again, raising a brow. “What doth make you believe that the General wouldst bestow upon thee information of his love life?” SHE asked then, that fine brow of hers remaining raised.
He had got her talking again, got her mind mulling over possibilities, planning, working on tactics, something she was wonderful at. Something a simple Elf that tended a garden would never understand. That, and she surmised that the gardener as well, would not have a friend as devoted, perhaps a bit eccentric, but devoted nonetheless, as her friend Ash.

He laughed when he saw her sparks of life come back. "I am glad to see that you have not lost your command skills." Ash said smilling at her. "And to answer your question, I can not garantee that he would answer me just to entertain company. In fact, I highly doubt that he will." Ashard laughed gidily as he remembered all the times Cassius got after him for his 'stupidities'. "He tends to find me more of a nuisance than anything else." he smirked. "But I do know that, everyone has to do things they don't always want when they want slash need a 'pest' to go away." He looked at her seriously, and he was now. "I assure you that I will try all I can in the least pesky way I can manage before I do anything else. I know you care for him and therefore do not want to use 'excesive force' when it's not a necesity. So a game plan would be in need here."
The Keeper looked around the graveyard, not for anything in particular but to gather his thoughts on the matter at hand. "At the tavern there are women." He smiled with the thought. "I could ask him about the women he sees and train my questions on from there. That way it would seem like my questions are out of the blue from his friendly neighborhood pest."

Kiara couldn’t help but let a small, bell-like laugh escape her lips this time. “His friendly neighborhood pest.” She shook her head and grinned at him. “You are what you are I suppose. “Might ask him as well, what it is he likes in a girl, then I know if there if a chance in hell he might even know I exist.” She went on. “Well, that is I exist in his mind for more than what it is I stand for, at any rate.” She concluded with a sigh.
It was quite evident that Kiara was turning her brain about, thinking and planning things she had not yet let out, nor would she, not until she had formulated things just right in her mind as to what it was she needs to do. For the moment, she was content in information gathering, as intelligence was always a crucial point in any war. Agonizingly slow, but crucial all the same.

"Will do me lady!" Ash stated, eager to go out on a mission. He had never been on a serious mission since he died oh so many years ago. Hunting sorcerers was something he took pride in and now he finds himself helping a dead one. He laughed out loud at those thoughts. He never would of believed he'd be doing this when he was alive. Life changes so much and throws curves wherever it feels like. Of that he was sure.
"Any other questions you'd like me to ask?"

She pursed her lips together in thought for a moment and then shook her head. “No Ash, no, short of coming right out and telling him, I think there is not much else for you to ask at this moment, and please, don’t do that.” She told him and then laughed slightly, imagining the effect THAT would have on her chances of ever getting closer to the General.
“I will await your findings, I know where to seek you out, what say you might be the proper amount of time it might take to complete this task you have set forth for yourself?” She asked then, a sudden thought coming to her mind.

"I would not be a very good spy if I blew the cover now would I?" Ashard asked with a smart assed grin on his face then snikerd. "I shall meet up with you at the military camp tomorow or the day after. Knowing that he 'hangs out' there, I'm sure you won't be far." He winked at her to then look about eagerly. "Well, if the planning is done, we must be starting the mission now. So..... off to the Phantom!" He said exitedly as he departed the graveyard.

“Oh Cassius…” She said out loud as Ash disappeared from sight.
Kiara moved to the nearest gravestone and took a seat on its top, she closed her eyes and her form shimmered out of her war-like attire and into that of a simple maiden, dressed in a long flowing gown, her hair all tied up in an intricate swirl of knots, complete with flowers in her hair. A sight that none in her days of life had ever seen the Warrior Princess, General of the Karador armies, as. A sight she never allowed any to see, a sight only her and her sister had ever seen.
Kiara then began to hum an ancient tune, the notes coming out and drifting through the graveyard in a ghostly almost eerie manner, though beautiful, its sound was almost spooky in a way, as she sat there alone in her thoughts, her eyes closed still, her ghostly form showing no color, only a misty gray that was only visible if one were to follow either the sound, or bothered to look straight at her for some time.
